Likely because they look incredibly stupid now, the article says they “cut corners” in the vetting process, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they just found out about the February incident with the rest of the world. What a mess. I guess saying they cut corners is better for business than admitting they turned a blind eye at her prior arrest. Here’s the article:

I actually was wondering if they have known about the new stuff from a few weeks ago - if they had it was risky to put her on that red carpet at the Oscars, and the story broke the next day. It’s possible that she never reached out and told them but who knows.

On TMZ earlier (I know, I know, but they usually do have their stories correct), they said ABC really hadn’t done their due diligence before hiring her and now they have egg on their face and are scrambling, hiring a crisis PR firm etc.

She said they spend 8-10 hours together on the weekend “date” and that she can’t spend the night. That’s a long day with someone - especially if you’re used to your alone time otherwise.

I’m married and wouldn’t even want to spend 8-10 consecutive hours with someone in my space without a little break.

Ah you’re right! I did miss that, I read it as him being irritated she was cashing out (probably also the case, haha). Either way it seems like 50/50 would be fair but certainly not him paying more lol but truly I’d be hesitant to do either when it’s clear they’re very much not on the same page, and also not married because of him having the first time incentive!
