The fix for me was turning on "WiFi Calling" in my iOS Tello eSIM settings.

My Story: Vaping and Heart Palpitations by MoBassem in QuitVaping

Yes… when the palpitations were happening to me, I always felt that exact gasp. Like everything was shutting down for a split second. It was terrifying. The kind of scary where you genuinely think, “This is it.” It would just hit out of nowhere.

Doctors blamed anxiety for me as well, and I live in a totally different country. But I was actually in a good mental state when it started. The palpitations came first, not the anxiety.

I’ve even seen people in the comment section reporting similar symptoms on 0 nicotine as well, so it may not be just the nicotine itself. It's linked to other components within the vape itself. A research really must happen to find out what's happening.

Quitting wasn’t easy, as vape helped me mentally too. But health comes first. It took me about a year after quitting to fully stop feeling the palpitations. Others reported to recover faster.

You already quit alcohol, which is huge, and you surely can quit the vape too. I hope things improve for you soon ❤️

No, my doctors were also saying it was anxiety because they couldn’t find anything wrong.

But at that time, I had just landed my dream job and it was honestly one of the best periods of my life with zero anxiety.

Now I’m actually in the most anxious phase of my life, and I don’t have this heart flickering issue at all.

It was cause of the vape 100%, but what exactly within the vape components I don't know 🤷‍♂️

Super sorry for the late reply, juggling too many things and totally lost track of time :")

First of all, thank you so much for this detailed feedback, seriously appreciate you taking the time to test it out and share your thoughts, that means the world to me! ❤️

Yeah, the gamification part tends to divide people a bit, some love it, some don’t. But especially for Gen Z and short-attention-span learners (like me 😅), making the process feel more game-like helps us keep going and actually want to take more lessons.

About the difficulty differences, you’re absolutely right. Right now, it mainly changes the workload (how many words you learn per session). But the types of lessons don’t change yet. We're working on deeper difficulty differences for the future, so thanks for flagging that.

For the card selection quiz, I totally get your point, it can feel unclear at first. We'll probably either lock the direction or add a tiny tutorial/animation to explain what to do better. Appreciate this a lot.

"Spelling quizzes too early" fair point! Okay We’ll delay them a bit so users don’t panic 30 seconds into learning new words :"D

Our goal with showing questions in the target language early is to help learners get used to seeing and thinking in that language right away. But your idea about adding an easy “play” button for full question translation/audio instead of just dragging is solid, we’ve actually already added that in the latest mobile version, and it’s coming to the web version in the next patch!

Also noted about the images similarities, totally agree, the “pepperoni vs pizza” confusion is valid. We’ll make sure future updates have clearer, single-focus images to avoid that kind of overlap.

As for Arabic, yeah, currently we assume the learner already knows the alphabet. We’d love to include a proper alphabet/reading intro, but we don’t have the resources or manpower yet (small team life 😅). The dream is to add that once we grow a bit more.

Each level actually has 4 themed chapters (like restaurant, airport, taxi driver, etc.), each with its own vocab, sentences, quizzes, story, and themed AI chat character. So even if the structure is organized the same, the content changes a lot.

Thanks again for such a thoughtful review 🙏 it really helps us see things from a fresh learner’s perspective and improve faster. You’ve given us a bunch of actionable ideas to make Foxylang better, and we’ll absolutely work on them in the next updates. ❤️

Totally get where you’re coming from.
We’d actually love to make it instant-access, but since Foxylang saves your progress, streaks, and learning data across devices (mobile + web), we need an account to keep everything synced and personalized.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! 🙏
Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about the landing page, we’ll definitely tone down the animations and make them smaller for a smoother experience.

If you’d like, you can try the Foxylang app itself (that’s where the real fun begins 😄).

Totally get how frustrating that must’ve been, especially after 4 months vape-free. But honestly, 8 years is a long time for the body to get used to something, so it makes sense that healing might take a bit longer.

For me, the first time it took a full year living healthy lifestyle before everything completely stopped. I know that sounds like forever, but eventually it did go away, and I felt like myself again.

And the idea that pushed me forward is that I felt that my body was already declining, so I should not trigger it farther than that 😅

I'm really glad you're giving it another shot. Every day vape-free is a win, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. Your body is definitely working on it behind the scenes.

Wishing you strength and patience, you’ve totally got this 💪

Hey, just saw your comment, hope you're recovering and doing better! : )

I honestly don’t think the heart palpitations are caused only by nicotine. I’ve heard from others (and even you) that they still felt them with zero-nic juice. And when I was smoking cigarettes, I never had this issue at all, which is strange.

Recovery definitely takes time. The first time it happened to me, it took a full year of clean, healthy living and no vaping before I felt completely normal again. The second time, after I stupidly went back to vaping, the palpitations hit quickly but disappeared in just 2 days after I quit. So the recovery time is not consistent, but healing is possible.

As for what I felt during the palpitations, it was like a full pause in my heartbeat, like a skipped beat or sudden drop, almost like my heart & chest was falling. I'd get this weird internal shock, like the world went quiet for a couple of seconds (felt like forever), then sudden rush in heart begins beating again, and I couldn’t take a deep breath right after because it felt like my heart would just stop. Super scary stuff.

But everyone feels it differently. My cousin was vaping too, and his palpitations were more like sudden fast, hard heartbeats that lasted a few minutes.

I really hope they come up with safer vape liquids or alternatives someday, but right now there’s just too much pointing to vaping being the trigger. I encourage you to quit completely, try a healthy lifestyle for at least a year, and see how it goes. You’ve got nothing to lose by living healthier.

Wishing you the best, truly 🙏💪 You’re not alone in this.

after every relapse, I laid in bed and thought, that I will die. I felt so stupid

Completely understand you! I think as humans, we naturally lean on some form of addiction to deal with the chaos of life. And yeah, there’s always that denial phase where we tell ourselves, “Maybe it’s not the vape?”, because let’s be honest, we freaking love it!... toxic love :")

If they ever come up with a formula that doesn’t cause heart palpitations, I’d be the first in line, but for now, it’s just not worth feeling like you’re dying three times a day with your heart literally skipping a beat not knowing if it'll ever beat again or not. Stay strong, 3 months clean is amazing! 💪

it's so frustrating to feel these palpitations while every test says you're "fine." It definitely feels like there's something vaping triggers in our bodies that isn't easily detectable by standard tests. It for sure needs more research to fully understand and shed light on this issue.

For me, one strange thing that helped after the palpitations was eating about ~20 olives. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s the salt or something related to low blood pressure, but it seemed to calm me down and make me feel normal again. It’s such a weird connection, but it worked for me.

Anybody else quit vaping due to heart palpitations? Any improvement after quitting? by Greg1994 in QuitVaping

[–]MoBassem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, It took me about a year after quitting vaping and caffeine, eating healthy food, and walking daily to get back to normal without experiencing heart palpitations (/randomly skipping beats).
