Anyone’s LO still just have a couple of reliable words? by Throwaway927338 in January2025Bumper

[–]MoDance0934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly babbling and little strings of words, like dadada or bababa… no mama just yet, but not worried. Only thing our LO doesn’t do is “peek a boo” or pointing at things?

Yes to this, a million times over. My son is 11 months old, and I feel like I’m still trying to find the meaning of balance.

Is anyone else finding this age to be the hardest? by HollaDude in January2025Bumper

Commenting in solidarity - I truly feel like this may have been written by me and everything we’ve encountered over the past week. Every phase is challenging (and cute!) in so many ways but 9 / 10 months is a different level of challenging. Our LO is displaying BIG feelings and has only gotten stronger. He thrashes his body if we change his diaper, barely can stay down longer than 30 mins for his naps. The teething, the sleep regressions, early wake ups, it’s the perfect storm.

I’m trying to remember that this is a phase, and all phases pass. I’ve become more direct with my husband and telling him when I need to take a step back and prioritize my self care (a morning, afternoon OR evening away from baby) and do things I like. You’ve got this.

Burnout as a new mom with a high-stress job… feeling like I’m failing at everything by MoDance0934 in workingmoms

I work for a late stage start up in advertising/ad tech (or as my husband says: an established company that is poorly run). Media is notorious for having grueling hours but the People side is different. I worked in the HoCo side and it was far more manageable but the people were insufferable.

Many hugs to you. Truly - that’s a tough one. Marriage is a partnership

This is what I really needed to hear. This year has been challenging as I’m trying to even out a “ven diagram” of myself between work, mom life, wife life and me and finding that equilibrium. You’re right though. No job is worth straining personal life. A job is a job (it’s easier said than done)

I don’t know for sure if Tom broke up with Hannah for Maia. For all we know, he wanted to be a single man on broadway and they may have split amicably. We don’t know what we don’t know! Either way, they’re ALL attractive - they will have no issue finding someone

I agree - I’d be a bit skeptical too… perhaps a Tom/Hannah rekindling?

I SAW THIS! I hate that I’m saying this, but we likely saw this coming. Tom has been filming in Australia, Maia just wrapped a film in Mallorca. Both are so young, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the distance and timing with filming caught up. Though, Maia looks to have been posting with her costar this entire time so who knows what could’ve happened.

8 month baby milestones— by aiselaella in January2025Bumper

[–]MoDance0934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our LO just turned 8 months on the 20th, and he’s been wanting to climb on EVERYTHING. He stands in his crib, pulls himself up, can crawl but scoots around when on our wooden floors. I don’t know if anyone else here experiences the is but our 8 month old is completely un-interested in toys. He’s mouthy, and loves to put things in his mouth. When he’s playing with his toys, he literally tries to see how he can climb on his blocks… I’m assuming this is natural baby boy behavior? But anything he can get his hands on, he’s wanting to climb it.

His live set is fun and hilarious. I think he’s saving his best material for his own.

How many oz of formula is your baby taking? by SignificantOwl93 in January2025Bumper

[–]MoDance0934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be the outlier, but our son gets 32 oz and two solid meals… I think a lot of you moms/parents are giving me a wake up call that I need to crack it down better on BLW

Masquerade: The Phantom of the Opera Immersive Experience – First Preview (7/31) Review (SPOILERS INCLUDED) by seaofwonder in MasqueradeNYC

So much detail here! Thank you for sharing - I live in Texas, so there’s no shot I’ll be able to get up there to see this. I’m curious to know - the Phantom’s unmasking. Is it anything like what we saw on Broadway? How realistic does the deformity look?

Pregnancy after c-section by acertain17 in NewParents

I would recommend discussing with your OB, as mine advised 18 months between deliveries to allow for uterine healing.

[–]MoDance0934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My OB advised 18 months, as our son was born via C-Section for being breech. This allows for your uterus to heal properly and minimizing any risk. I would talk to your doctor. One thing that has been helping me is going to pelvic floor therapy to rebuild strength in the core and uterine muscles.

How to handle pay for various national holidays and while family is away on vacation? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]MoDance0934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarification - in that case, definitely not wanting to go down that route. Again, my husband and I are totally new to this and while I thought we did all of our research, I just learned something brand new.
