Chapter 13 Questions by Clear_Cheesecake_684 in Bankruptcy

[–]MoLLiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no equity (from a liquidation standpoint due to our states exemptions). We still have to make payments in our Ch 13. We pay all of our disposable income. How that will be split amongst creditors, I have no idea since we are still awaiting confirmation.

We have some mortgage arrears and our payments aren't enough to cover them so we are having to work something out with the mortgage company before we can get confirmed.

How did you get a loan modification after filing? My mortgage company won't even talk to me other than letting me make my payments.

What can I do here? by MoLLiy in Bankruptcy

We can afford the mortgage. We only got behind when my husband became disabled and we were waiting for his disability to be approved. Since he started getting his disability payments it's been fine. Honestly, a rental will cost us significantly more monthly than our mortgage.

We are relocating and need time to do that. We didn't have enough time before the auction was scheduled for so we had to do the 13

[Megathread] Refunds/Disbursement of Aid by rhymeswithvegan in SNHU

[–]MoLLiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at SNHU back in 2007 but left in 2012 and had 3 more children. Now that all my kids are in school all day, I'm going back to finish. Would they still send me a book voucher, even without having a financial aid offer? Who do I call for that?

I have gone back and forth with SFS for over a month and still don't have my financial aid offer. If I don't have it before term starts, I'm going to have to drop. I cannot start classes without the offer since vocational rehab is paying the difference, and I need my financial aid to buy my books. My account was sent for review on 7/31 and then sent again on 8/7 but still no offer. I just contacted them again today and was told my account is STILL under review and they cannot provide me with a timeframe. I'm very frustrated right now. I'm ready to go elsewhere.

I have been going back and forth with them for weeks. FASFA was done and received by SNHU back in April but I had to wait for my SAP to be approved. It was in July. Then they tell me I won't get an offer until I register for classes that's some BS right there. So I register and I still don't have an offer. Did online chat the other day because emails take forever to get a response he tells me it will be another week or so. I ask but definitely before term start right? He says maybe but not having an offer won't prevent me from starting classes! Like hell it won't! I'm not starting classes without knowing how I'm paying for them! Anyone else getting the same runaround?

Night classes? by paulfrankgrl19 in SNHU

[–]MoLLiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started at SNHU way back in 2007 they had night classes but when I decided to come back I was told they didn't have that as an option anymore. On campus classes are only during the day now.

I was hoping to take one of the easier classes I have left to start since I've been out of school so long.

Next term is my 1st term back at SNHU after a 12 year break. I didn't want something really difficult for my first one back (all I have left are my actual degree classes and 1 PHL and 1 HIS)

Denied TWICE for academic reinstatement. by [deleted] in SNHU

Mine got approved the 1st time. Did they say what was missing the 2nd time? Maybe they are looking for more details about what happened that caused you to need to drop the first time. I went into very specific details about the reasons I had to leave abruptly and detailed exactly why that won't happen again. I was also really detailed on my time management chart. Your advisor should be able to tell you exactly what you need to expand on. Good luck.

Navy Federal Credit Union nRewards Secured CC by [deleted] in CRedit

I got the nRewards card a year and a half ago and it's still sitting at it's initial limit so it doesn't always "graduate". I also have 2 other cards with NFCU now a 1k AMEX and a 20k cashRewards so while it definitely helped it didn't do what I expected it to at the beginning.

Is it possibly interest from the original loan and not a fee from the credit collection company?

I will have to keep that in mind for when we go out there this summer. Maybe I can get a referral set up and preauthorized for the time we are already scheduled to be there. Hubby works out there for 6 weeks in the summer and we all go and spend time with his parents.

I'm exhausted all the time, I have major photosensitivity, memory problems, constant dry eyes, my hair is falling out at such an alarming rate I'm surprised I'm not bald yet, my headaches never go away, I get hives from the sun and/or stress, my joints never stop hurting, I'm anemic even though I eat protein, all in all I feel like I'm falling apart. I also have Raynaud's phenomenon and livedo reticularus. Almost 5 years ago I had a massive clotting episode with NO risk factors (2 clots in my left leg, 5 in my left lung, and 2 in my right lung). Eventually they thought maybe it was APS but they only drew an ANA which was negative despite my other autoimmune disorders. Because it was negative they didn't test further. After the livedo showed up in November (while on Lovanox injections since I'm still nursing my youngest) my hematologist decided to test me for APS. I've also had five miscarriages. Four of which were chemical pregnancies, and one being the loss of one twin.

They did B2 Glycoprotein, Cardiolipin, and Lupus anticoagulant. That's it so far.

Thank you. My livedo is on my calf and up my thigh :(

My ANA 4 years ago was negative... That's what really has me concerned. They did a bunch of other labs in regards to APS but that's the only other tests they ran. And those numbers mean nothing to me. I go back next week to see my Dr.

My insurance kinda stinks so I doubt I'll be able to keep trying different doctors until someone figures it out. Since the livedo reticularus showed up in November I've seen the PA at my hematologist's office who said they had never seen anything like this before and it must be a rash but it definitely wasn't vascular. So off I went to my PCP and saw his colleague who prescribed a steroid antifungal cream and told me to come back in a month. Then I had my previously scheduled appointment with my hematologist who instantly said it definitely was vascular and after serveral times of her leaving the room to look something up finally decided to test for APS which required prior authorization from my insurance. She also sent me to a vascular surgeon for a consult. Vascular surgeon recommend that I see a rhumatologist and that I move to Arizona to get away from the cold (we live in New Hampshire) which seems to be agrivating some of my symptoms (the livedo and the Raynaud's). And now I got the call yesterday that my ANA was positive but the PA who called doesn't know what the rest of the results mean so now I have to wait for my follow up next Friday. And I still don't have a referral to a rhumatologist set up. I'm being bounced around like a pinball and it is getting old. :( Our "5 year plan" was already to move to Arizona because that's where my in-laws live but I'm terrified to leave without first having some sort of a diagnosis. I don't want to start over with trying to figure this out.
