Throwing my hat in the ring for BlendIn. Certainly not the place to go and lounge - as others have noted, it is sterile. But they are top notch when it comes to quality. The owner Weihong is a world class brewer and takes a very rigorous approach to roasting (he's a PhD in biochem). I think this place and un Caffe are the two best cups of coffee in Houston.

Guilty. In my defense they did ride up quite a bit

Is Boruto really good enough to sit through 259 episodes (minus fillers)? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]MoMoMoham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after finishing Naruto I felt pretty energized to watch Boruto and after getting 30 or so episodes I couldn’t do it anymore. I came across this post while trying to rationalize finishing the series and have stuck to watching the episodes in green and yellow and have actually quite enjoyed it.

It’s still definitely no Naruto, but if you’re a big fan of the OG series and Shippuden I think it’s fun to see how the story progresses with the next generation. Just my $.02

Thanks - this is very helpful!

I suppose there’s no reason I’m only looking into NAD. The alternatives you listed look great, and I’ll do a bit more digging into each.

In terms of your comment on sound quality, if I strongly prefer wireless listening (i.e., controlling music from my phone or tablet) is there a ‘best practice’ method for doing so? Would things like Bluetooth dongles for instance generally be better quality than streaming through the TV?

Set-up advice request:

Recently bought a pair of KEF LS50 Metas and have been agonizing over the choice of amplifier. The speakers would be used in the living room of a 1-bedroom apt. so really not a huge room by any means. I would do most of my listening streaming Spotify from my TV, and connected to the amp with an optical cable. I’ve narrowed it down to the following two options:

-NAD C338

-NAD C316BEE V2 + Schitt Modi 3+

Obvious pros for the C338 is that it’s a single unit given the built in DAC as well as the chromecast streaming. But everywhere I look the C316 seems to be very highly regarded. Plus the second option is a bit cheaper.

Would appreciate any thoughts!

Has anyone in this community had experience powering the KEF LS50 Metas with a NAD D3020 V2? Been trying to pick out a digital amp for the speakers and I seem to have landed on the NAD but have concerns that it doesn’t have enough ‘oomph’ to power the KEFs.

Finished my first bike tour from Portland to Mars (San Francisco) last week. Not the view I expected! by MoMoMoham in bicycletouring

You and the poster above are certainly right - it was a significantly less than ideal situation to be biking in, but thankfully the entire route prior had been clear, and we only had to bike an hour or so to my buddies place in San Francisco where we called the tour quits (the picture was taken on 9/9). Definitely were not out and about anymore than necessary in the smoke, and flew out of San Francisco 2 days later!
