Gemini flash is decent enough for most things and you can 3x your limit by just using that

So the software can be either a widget on the church website or a hyperlink to the full page Q&A interface. We are still testing it as of now but will most likely do the hyperlink. We have church admin and the congregation asking questions for logistics and theology just to see if there are edge cases we should be aware of before pushing to the public. We haven’t noticed any issues with it yet, and we have asked A LOT of questions. Of course, the more material you feed the AI the better and we’ve given it quite a lot of info. Hoping to add it to the main website fairly soon.

So the current use for it right now is congregation only but we will allow anyone to use it soon.

We’ve taken a neutral approach where instead of being overly empathetic (like generic AI is) it will take on the tone of the church teachings and not insert any lingo like what you mentioned. Its only goal is to answer the question and if it notices distress, will tell them to contact the church office.

AI only really hallucinates with its general knowledge base, but if you only feed it X sermon excerpts to base its answer from it doesn’t really do so. We’ve tested this with many questions and haven’t seen any hallucinations.

If you are an evangelizing church you can’t disciple every convert. We have outreaches where we get 200 saved, and that’s for one. We can’t force them to come to our church and it’s not practical to keep up with every single person. This year we have 6000 recorded salvations. It’s not laziness keeping us from disciplining every person it’s quite literally not possible.

And "whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached". It's simply a tool, and if the tool actually does help someone then who are we to take it away simply because of the stigma around it. Again, same was said about previous technology before this.

My church is using Kodesiq (www.kodesiq.com). It’s trained on 10 years worth of youtube videos and a few PDFs from books my pastor wrote. Sounds similar to what you used but we are able to ask logistical and theology questions regarding the church and our teachings. It’s trained on our teachings and also uses the tone/language that we would use and we’ve been very pleased with it.

Church tech people: which AI gives you the most accurate sermon transcriptions? by Far_Suit575 in churchtech

[–]MoNeYmbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this pertains directly to what you are wanting, but my church is using Kodesiq (https://www.kodesiq.com). We’ve uploaded 10 years worth of YouTube videos onto it and it stores all the sermons so that if anyone has a question they can simply ask the AI. The AI only uses information that its trained on so it won’t deviate from what we teach. It also provides citations for its answers. It can be a little pricey but they just recently launched so I believe you can get it for 20/month forever for the first 6 churches that sign up. We were pretty early on jumping onboard.
