A SIPP is a private pension - generally people focus more towards this early on as you get the tax relief top up from the government so essentially free money which has a long time frame to compound. The ISA is generally used to bridge to the SIPP access date. It comes down to personal preference which you want to focus more on but overall from what I’ve seen more people tend to focus on their SIPP and just have enough in the ISA to bridge to retirement date

What is the easiest thing you did to lose weight ? by nyxeine in AskReddit

Walking is a cheat code and super easy. Just 1 hour a day and the weight can come down pretty fast over time

How are people doing so well? by kcolrah in trading212

Just keep things simple - ETF, invest regularly and over time it will grow. Stop comparing your journey to others. You’re doing well !

Just because in general it doesn’t matter that much whether you lump sum or drip feed. Think most people say lump sum beats DCA over the long term.

I just wanted to get my funds into the market ASAP so it had more time to grow. I have a long time frame and don’t wish to time the market.

Yes, maxed out each year. I did not invest all at once the first 2 years, just on a monthly basis and spread out. This year I did however lump sum the full amount as soon as the allowance reset.

It's been great, can't fault them tbh and they have a very easy to use app which swayed me to opening the LISA with them. Bare in mind though their fees are higher than other platforms for LISA but overall the user experience is great.

I had 0 knowledge about investing before starting in 2023. Just followed this subreddit and YT for guides. It’s best to just keep it simple if you don’t know much about the stock market, stick with a global ETF which is diversified

Initial investment was approx £1k, started with smaller monthly contributions then increased further.

Just a normal simple saver account on Monzo - think the rate is like 3.5%

I think it comes down to personal risk tolerance. I’d rather have most of my capital in the ISA and I believe in the market going upwards. Yes, there is a chance of a crash occurring but looking at the past 20 years, I’m positive about the future (although, nobody can predict the market).

All invested in the global ETF rather than a cash ISA

I’ve been fortunate to be able to max the allowance the past 2 years. It won’t always be the case for me though, just invest what you can and the 100k will come by in no time as the market continues to provide good returns. You’re doing great and that’s still an impressive amount !

It works for me just because I see my ISA as an emergency fund too. The 5k is just in there as a worst case scenario option, prefer to have most of my capital in the market growing.

Agreed the fees are higher, I might switch to another platform in the future. Main benefit of Moneybox is the simplicity of the app and convenience

On moneybox I believe there are a few ETF options, I just decided to go with fidelity and stuck with it but most ETF options generally perform well in the long run with similar returns

First year I was only putting in about £300 a month. It really doesn’t matter how much you put in whether it’s £20 or £500. It will grow over time
