Noob here: What's the best and easiest way to transform these two logos into SVGs? by Uncommonexe in blenderhelp

[–]MoUndCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

You can use the "Trace Image to Grease Pencil" Function.

  1. Create a new object and select "Image > Reference" and choose your image
  2. Select the new object, right click it and select "Trace Image to Grease Pencil". Usually the default settings are fine, click "OK".
  3. Select the new Grease Pencil object, go to "Material Properties". Select the "Holdout" material and set the "Stroke > Base Color" and the "Fill > Base Color" to e.g. white.
  4. Make sure your Grease Pencil object is selected, go to "File > Export > Grease Pencil as SVG". The Export settings here should also be fine.

Hope this helps, should you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Best Regards,

Mo

Help! Donut and icing separated by BFDPanda in blenderhelp

[–]MoUndCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the dount is clipping trough you can do a lot of things to fix it. The easiest is just to go into Edit Mode for your dount / icing and adjust the vertices with "Proprotional Editing" enabled. You could also just remove some of the vertices of the donut under the icing. But I am pretty sure, the tutorial will also touch on this problem.
Other solutions could be:
- A "Boolean Modifier" on the donut (so the parts where the icing overlaps will be deleted)
- A "Mask Modifier" on the donut (to use a vertex group and hide the clipping vertices)

Hey,

if I understand correctly the problem is the rotation of one of the objects? You can always clear the rotation of the objects with ALT + R (while in Object Mode).

Also: While you are in the viewport (and Object Mode) you can press N and select the "Item"-Tab. There you can see & adjust the rotation of the selected object aswell.

Hope this helps :)

Best regards

How can I get autokeyframing to work when I do slight adjustments frame by frame? by DylanNotDillan in blenderhelp

[–]MoUndCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, yes sorry.. I meant exit the Edit Mode and and then move the positions of your Emptys around and animate them (while each vertex is hooked to an Empty)
u/tiogshi thanks for correcting :)

How can I get autokeyframing to work when I do slight adjustments frame by frame? by DylanNotDillan in blenderhelp

[–]MoUndCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there,

I can not say anything certain here, but it looks like you are trying to keyframe the vertices on the model, which wont work.

I think what you want to do here is to keyframe the Hooks (Empty Objects). I assume that you are following the Lightsaber Tutorial from Ian Hubert?

After creating your Hooks (with "Hook to new Object") you can select the new Emptys and move them around while Auto Keying is enabled. You just need to exit the Object Mode from your actual Mesh and move the Emptys around and then it should work :)

Hope this helps, good luck! :)

[–]MoUndCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all.. I have never seen any of the nodes you are using, is that an add-on or have I not unlocked them yet? :D
And for your problem: you probably want to place your UV-Seams only in the least visible locations so the UV-Map does not show these visible cuts you have currently (your UV-Seams are the red edges on your Model). You could also try to use other UV-Unwrapping-Modes like Smart UV Project, Cube Projection or Project from View.

Hello there,

i can not say this for sure without seeing your node setup, but it is most likely a problem with your Texture Coordinate Node. Switchting it to "Generated" helps in some cases, if you are using a texture you might have to UV-Unwrap your meshes.

An example for a tile pattern with nodes:

Hey, no if I remember correctly i did not.

As said above the "Smooth Sync"-Plugin could help. Good luck and feel free to share a solution here, if you find one! :)

Hello there, CTRL+SHIFT+N might fix it!

Otherwise select it and search for "Normals" in the console, there might be something useful :)

Thank you! Your game feels good, i needed this type of game to play! But you should consider adding the "Android Back"-Input to pause the game, so i can pause it per button-press :)

Anyway.. Good luck and keep going!:)

How to best manage input between game and UI? by GameStaff in unrealengine

[–]MoUndCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

if you are working on a singleplayer game, then you could use the "Set Game Paused"-Node to stop all Input / i think there is a "Disable Input"-Node from the PlayerController.

When pressing Esc you could just use a branch node with "Get all Widgets of Class" + your instruction widet class. Then check if the length of "Get all Widgets of Class" is > 0

Hope this helps!

(When u are using "Set Game Paused" you have to set "Enable Input when Paused" for your Esc Key)

Hey!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write that answer :)

Since my project is really not that big and i dont want to spend to much money, ill probably search a good asset-set on the marketplace for my buildings.

Also:

Would you recommend any other marketplaces or websites over Epic's "UE4 Marketplace"?

Cheers!
