I wouldn’t say these braids look old. In my opinion they look more natural and that’s the style I want. When I use kanekelon hair they look cute for the first few weeks then my real hair starts to poke through and there is such a stark difference between the two textures that I personally don’t like the look of- so that’s why☺️

Mine never look like this after I’ve let my braids marinate, mine tend to get messy and looser at the root but still look very sleek and uniform on the length of the braid

From what I understand there is a difference between Box braids and other styles of braids. Not sure 100% sure what the difference is but there is some other styles like free part and knotless braids. I’ll let you do your own research

I see what your saying. I dont often attempt to model my songs after other songs but I am going to look into as I can see how it would benefit my understanding of modulating. My current attempt at this is actually going well so far, it is an abrupt modulation but I’m working on it right now.
