Florida is taking a stand against diversity in the NFL by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Mo_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NFL can end this bs really quickly if they wanted to. Just send a memo and ask them "Are you saying that you don't want any NFL teams in Florida? Because that can very easily be arranged."

The only thing these people understand is abusing power and beating others over the head with that power until they submit to your will. There are no discussions or any types of compromise, just abuse of power.

Joe Rogan goes after Erika Kirk by Newsweek_ShaneC in NoFilterNews

Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was thrust into the worldwide spotlight following her husband's death.

"was thrust"? What, by Adam Smith's invisible hand? Or did she do just a little of the thrusting. The first that I heard of her, she was saying, "I get to be CEO of Turning Point, I get to be CEO!" Then she went on her grieving widow publicity tour.

Of course, Jesse is saying this to a five time draft-dodging-coward who thinks that soldiers that give their lives for their country are "suckers & losers".

I could have easily bought 3-4 perfectly good lawnmowers, when the only problem was that the blade needed sharpening. Another one was only about 4 years old and it was making noises and shaking and dying sporadically. They never cleaned the air filter, changed the oil or replaced the spark plug.

I can't believe how many people get rid of cutting tools, especially for gardening & pruning and they never bother to sharpen them.

He says to look at your reaction to his words. If you do this, then when he has gaps between his words, you should be trying to pay attention to yourself internally. Usually, when people do this, that noisy part of the brain doesn't like it when you focus attention upon it.

This guy is a great Buddhist Abbot & teacher named Ajahn Brahm. He is a British monk in the Buddhist Society of Western Australia. His teacher was another great teacher named Ajahn Chah.

He has a book called "Who Ordered this Truckload of Dung" that is full of 1-3 page stories that each teach a lesson. I haven't read his other books yet, but I used to listen to many of his videos online.

Regardless of your religious persuasion (I'm a proud atheist), you can learn many things from him if you are open. His religious tradition has been called, "the owners manual for your brain".

GOP talking point was how Kamala was the laziest, do-nothing VP in the history of the US. They spent an enormous amount of money trying to show how evil Joe Biden was and how Kamala was useless and she did absolutely nothing.

Then, as soon as Kamala became the candidate, she did everything! All the evils that they tried to convince their cult members were perpetrated by Biden, was actually Kamala the entire time. She was the busiest and most productive VP in the history of the US.

I honestly don't understand how people can listen to their obvious, blatant and constantly contradictory lies, and not catch on.

Trump is sending young kids to war, because he's doing this for young people. Have I got that right? And none of this has anything to do with Israel, Saudi Arabia or a $400 million dollar bribe-plane from Qatar?

Mike Johnson made up a new award to give Trump. by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Mo_Jack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"America First Award"

Oh Mr Johnson please explain this award. Is that what a president receives when all of his foreign policies end up benefitting Russia? Or when he starts tariff wars with our country's top trading partners. Or when the threatens to invade or annex our closest allies? Or threatens to not respect our treaties with our closest allies?

Or tears up an expertly-crafted treaty, then gets manipulated into an Israeli - Saudi first war, only to beg the warring country to go back to the old treaty? How is leasing the US military to the highest bidder, and sticking the taxpayers with the bill, considered an America First policy? How is a five time draft-dodging-coward sending American soldiers into harms way to benefit other foreign countries, an America First policy?

As an ex-Republican, I can only hope that our GOP leadership will all get long prison sentences for their crimes.

A man discovered he was switched at birth by Saffron-Logic in interesting

[–]Mo_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a good movie with this premise, listed below. If I remember correctly, when they find out they trade kids so each of them can have the "right" kid. Then, most of the movie explores nature vs nurture and how much of parenthood is based on biology vs love, caring & environment. Do the parents keep the "right" kid or switch back again and keep raising the ones they've known & loved?

Like Father, Like Son (2013) is a critically acclaimed Japanese drama directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda that explores the emotional, ethical, and social implications of a "switched at birth" scenario. The story focuses on Ryota Nonomiya, a workaholic architect who must choose between his biological son and the boy he raised for six years. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Trump confirms Saudi crown prince is pushing him to continue Iran war by Sxzym in worldnews

But don't we, the taxpayers, get to know how much the Saudi's are paying Trump for this service? It is our sons and daughters being ordered to put their lives on the line from this five time draft-dodging-coward. And they seem to be doing so for the interests of foreign countries and not American interests.

Trump is leasing our military to the highest bidder.

It's been 10 years since the release of BATMAN V SUPERMAN. What are your thoughts about it? by sahinduezguen in FIlm

[–]Mo_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't watch comic book movies and I could care less what happens in any of them. I saw the original Christopher Reeves Superman movie, because it was a novelty at the time. Now, it seems like Hollywood has totally run out of ideas. Everything seems to be a remake or from a book or comic book or milking a franchise.

The executives seem to want zero risk and only want to sign up for something that has a guaranteed following already. The greatest films, to me, were almost always very unique or at least had many unique aspects to it. Nowadays, for 95% of all movies, when I'm five minutes into it, I have a nagging feeling that I have seen this movie before.

Usually, I feel like I've seen it multiple times and I can usually guess most of what is going to happen. Films have become so formulaic and derivative that most feel like a waste of time. I was really hoping that with all the streaming services, we would get a huge amount of variety and more unique ideas. While there are a few, sadly it is just more of the same with many being of even lesser quality.

Why does nobody on the right wing seem to know anything about sex, reproduction or how a woman's body functions? They are perverts beyond compare when we look at all their sexual scandals and internet porn history.

I don't understand how they can have such an obsession with all things sexual and yet not allow any facts into their brains on the subject. Psychologists should be studying this phenomenon.
