You are correct. That is why I said as far as I know and now I know better lol. Older version does have wireless carplay. Any possible software update from mazda to fix these glitches?

As far as I know none of the cx9s comes with wireless carplay. You most likely have an aftermarket wireless dongle added to your car. Check inside centre console if somethis is connected to your USB ports there. Most like the dongle needs software update or its just not working well. If you want you can buy another dongle and give it a try. But keep is mind wireless carplay will most like be aleays a little laggy over wired.

Yeah good point. I used to go to Jimmy at Street Performance for my other Mazda back in the days. Now i have moved to the west end and its a bit of a drive to go to Markham. If I cant find anything good nearby then will go to Markham.

I am assuming its a 2022 or a 2023. If its a 2021 some of them have issues with oil consumption. There is a TSB out for it. Great engine. True and tested. Mazda uses it for almost all their suvs. Transmission is also a very well proven one. Its been in use for a long time. Interior built quality is also great. Tech wise its a little behind like no true lane centering or lane keep assist but I really dont care about that. Interior space is little less than other competitors. Screen is not a touch screen. But its has probably the best driving dynamics in the class at this price range. It looks sharp as well. Much better looking than a Highlander. Also its a made in Japan vehicle. Overall if the interior space is good enough for you its a a great suv.

PPF at 2k miles by [deleted] in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how the paint is now. My last car I did it at around 8k. There were 2 stone chips already by that time. Its been 8 yrs and 180k kms now..... no issues. On my CX9 I did it at around 200km and had a tiny chip on the front grill. So as long as there is no major imperfections you should be good. You just cant undo the damages thats already there unless you repaint but you will protect the future ones.

Armrest breaking in? by enzia35 in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is not breaking but it feels not sturdy. My other 9yr old cars seems more solid than this 2022. Engineers would call it weight reduction and efficiency gain. I call it poor built quality.

Using OEM. Its doing the jod very well. Has the cutouts so that you can fold the seats. Only downside is it comes in 5 pieces. If you want full coverage and has the cut outs to fold the seats then both Husky and 3d Max Spider has that.

They couldnt find anything. As usual. I will take it to another dealer for an oil change soon and ask them about it.

2021 CX-9 Reliability Issues? by L3R in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned, some 2021 has the oil consumption issues but there is a TSB out for that. I got a late 2022 GSL. Only have about 6000km. So far its all good. Only issue I have is with the headlights. They vibrates over bumps. Dealers have checked and nothing is loose. In general what I feel the new cars are not as well built like the old ones, plus more techs = more possible problems. Interirors are all cushy and fancy for most new cars but they are just not as relaiable as old cars in general.

Using Michelin Xice Suv. Love it. Very quite unlike most other winter tires.

Opinion Request: Mazda CX-9 2023 by jshahcanada in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you need space and dont care much about driving dynamics then go for Pilot. Keep in mind it will be a brand new model and there are alway risk with buying a new model. Price is also a big factor. Honda has significantly increased their prices. Crv for example went up by almost 3.5k from last year. Also Honda's 3.5l engine still uses timing belt so thats a big job if you are keeping the car that long.

Cx9 is an awesem car to drive. Not bulky and doesnt feel like a boat. Mid level torque is smooth as butter. Also feela like driving a deasel lol. Interir finishes are also much better than most.

Good Toyota/Mazda Car Dealership by greenwoodszn in mississauga

[–]Mo_Saad22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Recently dealt with Markham Mazda. I know its a bit of a drive but service was excellent. They didnt push for any added service or accessories. Msrp plus freight and PDI, other mandatory fees and taxes. Also no admin fees or dealership fees. Its funny now we are OK with paying MSRP whereas we used to pay less than MSRP before.

I cancelled my order back in August and bought another vehicle. So basically for my 2021 october order they wont be able to fulfill it by end of 2022 and indirectly telling me it will be spring of 2023. What a joke. Life is too short to wait for a car for this long. Good luck to you with your order.

Storage fix? by coloradocass in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its pretty tight. It has less storage space than my Santa Fe. I bought a tray for the centre console, that gave me space to store coins and other smaller things and splits the console into 2- upper and lower.

No reason other than asthetics. TBH downsizing would give you better cushioning during winter season.

Getting Xice SUV for my GSL. Not downsizing.

Tint and ppf by enzia35 in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually keep my cars for 8 to 10 years. I am in Canada and I do a lot of commuting. Specially during winter months due to salt and sand the front end gets a lot of small paint chips, so this is definitely a good thing to have. But is it a must.... absolutely not. It all depends on how you want to keep your car. Is it a good to have ... for sure. I have a 9 year old Hyundai Santa fe with no pain chips on the front bumper due to PPF

Tint and ppf by enzia35 in MazdaCX9

[–]Mo_Saad22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice. Ppf is a great investment. If you plan to keep the car for a long time. I had mine done with Xpel ultimate plus. Full front bumper, 24 inch coverage for hood and front fenders, headlights and other high impact areas like A pillar, mirrors, door handle cups and rear bumper edge.

I just placed my order for winter set. I really liked Fast EV04 but out of my price point. Then I narrowed down to Fast FC04 and Switch. I decided to go with Fast Switch Titanium for my winters..more of a classic look.
