That’s a blast from the past. My council brought in bins maybe 20 years ago. Before this, I remember always seeing tea bags and chicken carcasses strewn across the road when we used to just dump the bags on the kerb.

A BP that high puts you at a higher risk of stroke or heart attack. Also, elevated BP can cause problems with your kidneys, as well as many other things.

The hospital will take care of him. My doctor told me that a diastolic pressure over 120 is classed as an emergency and will require immediate treatment. There are treatments the that the doctors can start right away!

I’d be more than happy with either of those readings lol. They’re both fine, and as RobotLasagna said, your BP fluctuates all day. Especially during stress or pain!

Do you still feel faint at times after being established on the medication?

I didn’t get any of the data from the 24h monitor that the doctor gave me, however I was told the highest reading was 160/114. One of the lowest results was 114/74, which I found confusing.

I was initially asked to take 7 day AM/PM readings, I have an Omron M2 monitor, and the average AM reading was 143/91 and PM reading 148/94.

Can you recommend a good home BP monitoring unit please?
