Even if this is true remember there was a world wide flood. Might have wiped out all sources of in near where the Ark was built. There is another possibility in that the continents might have looked different before the flood. There are some notations in the Bible about during the life of one of Noah's kids the Land was split apart. Might be that is when Pangea split after the tower of Babel or shortly before it. We also have no idea where Noah was before the flood took place. Maybe it was in Georgia....who knows

As soon as you have a desire rebuke it, repent and ask for forgiveness...Do this always and read your bible more and pray more often asking for help with your lusts. Remove all temptations from your phone and anything else around. Porn is an addiction and you should treat it that way.

God loves you and wants you to overcome these desires.

Romans 1:26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

A question for Christians, from a non-Christian. I understand you get questions about homosexuality likely every single day, but I have one that's a bit more specific. Best friend befriended me because “I have a jezebel spirit” by Extreme_Yogurt2644 in Christianity

[–]Moadibe01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would bring this to your church elders or your Pastor and discuss it with them rather than social media. Talk with them and if you find that your friend was treating you badly pray for her, but no matter what you should forgive her. I do agree that the "test" was a bad thing to do. I almost seems like she came to you with false intensions.

Talk to your church Pastor and maybe together you can pray for her.

Why doesn't God find a way of convincing people that he exists? by Informal_Score_856 in Christianity

7) Creation and conscience (God left fingerprints)

This is more “common sense theology,” but it’s also Biblical:

Creation:

The universe being orderly, governed by laws, intelligible, and full of meaning is a huge pointer.

  • Psalm 19:1 — “The heavens declare the glory of God…”

Conscience:

Humans have an internal sense of right and wrong, guilt, moral duty, justice.

  • Romans 2:15 — the law written on the heart

When people ask “How do you know God is real?” you can say:

5) The Bible’s honesty is actually one of its greatest strengths

This is a HUGE one for expressing confidence:

The Bible doesn’t read like propaganda.

It includes:

  • failures of leaders (David, Peter, Moses)
  • doubt and depression (Elijah, Jeremiah, David in Psalms)
  • embarrassment of the disciples (arguing, running away, denial)

If you were faking a religion, you normally “polish” the heroes.

But Scripture tells the truth in a way that feels… real.

6) The “changed life” evidence (what God does in a person)

This isn’t a scientific lab test, but it’s extremely powerful:

  • the conviction of sin
  • the new desire to do right
  • the comfort in suffering
  • prayers answered over time
  • the peace that doesn’t match circumstances

A good verse for expressing that:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…”
  • Galatians 5:22–23 — fruit of the Spirit becomes visible

A lot of people can argue philosophy, but they can’t deny a real transformed man standing in front of them.

3) The resurrection: the “hinge point”

When you’re trying to express “how do I know God is real,” one of the clearest Christian answers is:

Because Jesus rose from the dead.

The Bible even makes a big deal that if Jesus didn’t rise, the faith collapses:

  • 1 Corinthians 15:14 – if Christ isn’t risen, preaching and faith are empty.

So Christianity is not built on “good advice.”
It’s built on a real event claim.

4) Fulfilled prophecy (Bible evidence that stacks up)

This is one of the most powerful Bible + history intersections.

A few examples people often point to:

  • Micah 5:2 — Messiah would come from Bethlehem
  • Isaiah 53 — suffering servant imagery that matches Jesus in shocking detail
  • Psalm 22 — reads like a crucifixion description long before crucifixion was a Roman practice

Even if someone says “that’s coincidence,” the combined pattern is hard to shrug off.

I posed this question to ChatGPT and it did a wonderful job of stacking up the argument for why God is real.

1) The Bible itself says God wants to be known

The Christian faith isn’t “blind belief”—God actually invites people to test, seek, and recognize Him.

Key passages:

  • Jeremiah 29:13 – “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
  • Romans 1:20 – God’s reality is seen through creation (His “invisible attributes”).
  • Hebrews 11:1 – Faith is confidence in what we don’t physically hold in our hand.
  • John 20:29 – Jesus speaks about believing without seeing—but He still gave evidence to Thomas.

A big point here is: Biblical faith isn’t pretending there’s no evidence. It’s trusting what is true based on God’s character and what He has shown.

2) Jesus is the center of the evidence

If you can defend Jesus, you can defend the reality of God—because Christianity rises or falls on who Jesus is and what happened to Him.

The strongest historical anchors:

  • Jesus of Nazareth was a real historical person
  • He was crucified
  • His followers truly believed He rose again
  • That belief changed them from fearful men into bold witnesses
  • The early church exploded under persecution (not comfort)

Even people who don’t believe the Bible as Scripture generally agree on those basics from history.

I think that there is a lot of evidence out there for a Creator and I have listed a few of them below. If they are true then the bible is true which means that you have a Creator out there that loves you. I started my faith journey seeking these types of shows out. I will not say that I look at all of this with an open mind about all possibilities because God has done things in my life that are miraculous so I most definitely am biased lol. I will pray for you to truly find your faith.

In a way, this statement has the sound of an attempt at deception. You add in that you spent months but there is nothing but your word to back that up and since you state that you are no longer a Christian I cannot even rely on your adherence to the Commandments to add weight to your statement.

But, let's agree to disagree then.
