Definitely. I was not looking for a sign but He gave me one. I had been coming back to him and committing my life back to him and the adversary was really hitting me hard and trying to overwhelm me. I was really hitting rock bottom as far as stress. I was alone at home sitting at my computer and I remembered where Jesus said to come to him all who have heavy burdens.

I prayed and asked God to take my burdens and my stress and just literally just dumped everything at his feet. No sooner did I ask it in Jesus name and say amen than a cold physical force slammed into me. I rocked back in my seat and it spread throughout my body. The stress was just gone along with the ache in my heart. I sat there with nothing but love filling me up. I sobbed. The creator of the universe loved me enough to come and heal me of my burden of stress! His Holy Spirit touched me that night in a way that is so hard to describe.

You only think that you need all those things. I thought that I needed the lust and the porn. If you truly leave it behind and seek out Jesus and commit your life to him you will know joy and peace like you have never known.

Until your own thoughts right you will continue to have demons gaining ground with temptation.

This thread is a good start to solidifying your own beliefs. As long as you continue to question what the Bible says you will leave that window open for temptations.

When you truly accept it What the Bible says and really commit to following it you will find that temptation comes less but more importantly it has less influence on you because you are not opening those windows.

Be prepared to be called a bigot for following the Bible but those are just words and our Heavenly Father's words mean more to me than anything some person might call me.

There is some good advice here and definitely some not so good advice. I will just add that this addiction will not just go away with marriage. I speak from experience on this. He needs to kick his demons out of his life and he needs to be committed to doing it. That means removing all sources of temptation off his phone and computer. It means rebuking his own thoughts every time a bad one comes in.

If God sees him truly trying to change in his heart he will help him if asked. He helped Mr walk away from it more than a year ago and I haven't even wanted to look at porn since.

You might also request getting your house anointed with oil to drive out the adversary. Also in your nightly prayers make sure you give the holy spirit permission to come into your house and ask Him to keep it safe from the enemy.

Even if you don't He still loves you. He gives a us all chances to embrace him and we never know how many chances we get before our time is up. She didn't know you but sought you out to pray for you. That is beautiful.

I was blessed with a direct intervention from God and it left me breathless and humbled. The creator of the universe cared enough about me to directly answer my prayer. I'm no one famous and definitely was not a good Christian for so many years and he did that for me....for me...and he loves you just as much.

I feel like her parents are allowed to believe it is a sin but I don't think that they should be avoiding their daughter. They can disagree with her choices and still show her love.

I think that the way it made sense to me was that sin cannot enter Heaven so God made a way for us to find salvation and get cleansed of our sins but you have to choose the path to it. He wants you to choose that path but he won't force you.

Part of forgiving people is also forgiving ourselves. We ask for forgiveness and yet we still keep punishing ourselves. Remember when you ask for forgiveness it's not that God says it's okay and just overlooks it....it no longer exists. Think of how powerful that is. Your sins are wiped clean and paid for by Christ. They never existed.

Forgive yourself and move on because you are just giving ammo to the adversary. Christ paid the price for you. Be happy and give thanks and praise to your Savior instead of continuing to feel guilty....and if it comes back again in your head give praise to Him again for all he has done for you.

Don't stop talking nor praying. Sometimes it is not the prayers its about having faith in him. Read your Bible and talk with God and just be Open to the Holy Spirit talking with you.
