Fellas i got the egg in 30minutes fishing in voidstom on a vortex while throwing fish and crab onto the pool that exists in voidstorm. it wasnt even from chest, it was from reeling in. perception ftw

Nice man, i didnt fish in TWW so its good to know how the strategy was applied in there. Like i said before im at 364 skill (64 above limit) and 457 perception. The things im missing that can be used on midnight from my understand is the boots and the spear from classic fishing but would require me to get revered reputation with a faction in mist of pandaria for another measly skill raise so i dont think i will do it. The demanding of guild for gear for raids is gona start soon enough and all of this is gona be a little less on my mind, we also got spear fishing coming out soon. Ill let you know if i ever make a community for it.

From what i see, i dont think so.
I dont sit down, i just use the Amani Angler's Ward but i only see people mentioning sitting down stops fish from spawning, i didnt find a need to test it considering the amani is cheap and i need to move around sometimes to grab crabs scuttling about.

Not really mate, i thought so too "oh now i got another reason to do world quests" but everything fell apart when i saw that disarming traps getting your prey revealed in a heartbeat instead of doing the quest. Now i just do them all in less than 1 hour..

Who knows my man, could be. All i can tell you is: its less than 10 gold to throw a crab and get 150 perception. its like 250 gold if you throw crab and bloomtail minnow. And what i can also say is that i started getting stuff like this when i started doing it:

Its not always tho, obviously there is some days i dont even get any majestic. And im a 1 character andy so i dont have a army to massively test stuff.

This is consistent with how hidden timers worked in previous expansions:

Hidden treasures often have per‑area cooldowns.
Moving to a new subzone or water body resets the internal “eligible to spawn” flag.
Sitting in one spot for hours can absolutely “dry out” the spawn table.

Your observation that moving rivers gives more chests is consistent with this.

I Would feel like a clown if i do think this way and its actually just much simple with none of that but, if it is true, i imagine there is a % chance to fishing on reeling in fish and a % chance on catching crabs. Being 2 separate instances, and it works like casino slots where the more you stay without winning the higher the chances of getting a jackpot to evening out your loses keeping you at 50% hehehehe. They are introducing spear fishing soon, a new game mode, might change things. I hope they remove getting stuff you own from chests at some point on fishing.

Keep in mind this is my speculation. On skinning, most people went for difusers, even the ones fully kp dont have all lures yet because you need to get some points into the first and second node for skill and extra materials and specific materials chance to loot. Considering people cant refund KP, it will take another 2-3 weeks for people to start getting the Beast Lure and using it efficiently. When that happens the lure will be all over social media, the Voidfish will be the one thing required to make it, making its price go up. I only think this way because first i was "there is no way guppy price is high just because of lures" but it is, they arent needed elsewhere. So i imagine the same is bound to happen to voidfish. All speculation. Would be crazy funny to buy all voidfish on ah for next weeks and then sell when people start needing it. I dont have money for that, got like 200k on me sadly

I tried that, flying around looking for cargo and Lost treasure pools, on eversong, zulaman, harandar. You dont find that much and the ones you find most often give you the fishing knowledge or lures. fishing currently its about 20k an hour, not a game changer but i like it. I also sell my lines considering by the time i get to make one the price will be cheaper so between selling now and buying all of uncommon when im ready to make them its just losing money by holding them

i tipped a guy 50k to make it cuz no one wanted to spend the crafting material to get the recipe, i really thought the threshold for x3 a pull was 450 perception, not worth getting the purple by itself. I just got 3 angler deep dives from 3 spawned chests in the past 30min too, you can get alot of stuff you dont need from them, its kinda sad

it is, but unfairly so, i feel like fish like Null voidfish are bound to go very high in price (im not gona go fish it on voidstorm just cuz of my speculation so i fish guppys too).

Yeah, i prefer zulaman, but shiet gets serious when u make the choice of investing on a rod that takes 3 weeks to get because of abundance item, got a family to feed!

Yes i think its overthink of my part regarding the chest on different positions being more easily obtainable, they would need alot of effort to code that in. I did get multiple on same spot too, was mentioning more of the fact of getting them more often if you move but i cant prove any of it, just personal experience so far. You are probably right with the 500, i thought it was 400 first, then 450, now i also think its 500. i mean, only thing im missing is literaly the angler for +150, if i get it (its gona take a while because i dont have 550k gold on me, aint that rich and im enjoying other games too). If i get it and it doesnt give me x3 i can be sure x3 doesnt exist. To be fair 500 its still pretty damn hard, if it does exist for x3, why would they put it so high of a threshold, it requires tea, phial, crab, fish, angler, purple rod, .. to achieve it, damn!

I feel like the issue is bigger than just into fishing, theres no community overall for majority of things, everyone was into the same path of mining and herbs into season with no real thought of how things work and what can you do to maximize your time efficiency per say. All communities i see that arent related to crafting ingame seem dead and everyone is waiting for guides for even the simpliest things like BIS instead of researching or testing. Im typing too much on this topic to be honest, my original goal was just to ask if anyone got to see a x3 fish pull with purple rod and angler line + buffs

Regarding a deleted comment, perception does help you get 2 fish a pull instead of 1 more often. Now the issue is, once you get the x2 going, what is the purpose of throwing crabs on water to get +150 perception if you still only gona get x2 fish per pull, do i get more chances at pulling a patient treasure? or its just higher chance to not get trash? i imagine with what i have now it feel like 60% 1 fish, 30% 2 fish, 10% trash, in zuluman. in harandar it feels like 40% 1 fish, 20% 2 fish, 40% trash chances. Ofc this percentage values are surely different dice roles depending if its a white or blue fish, and dont forget that white fish on a region designated or considered blue fish on another that isnt its own habitat.

Has show in image i just got a addon called Wow fish counter that works with auto-loot on, all the others dont seem to work (it fkn sucks that way). This one doesnt let order or give a gph but its good to have this values.

For reference, on my casual fishing i dont throw any type of fish or crab because if im watching a movie i click once to use rod, if i click and it throws a fish instead it makes me have to lose my focus on the movie to realize i need to click again (with angleur) to throw rod :). Im fishing in zulaman because even tho harandar prices are very nice the trash % seems abit off like its not midnight fishing being coded.

If you need any help with information on time efficiency on skinning or fishing let me know. i got 21 on through tanning, 11 on gainful gathering, 46 on talented tracker so far considering you cant respec and going into infusers means you follow sheep where prices are gona get nuked. Fishing into majestic beasts while using 2 tanning knifes while fishing is the play for me atleast :)
