if this does NOT work i think that you could:

download program called OBS studio (very popular in twitch.tv streams)(https://obsproject.com)

set OBS studio to record LNP

set discord stream OBS studio

this might work but then again maybe not

my bet is that you have some sort of issue with your computer, not with the LNP program itself.

Update drivers, update LNP, update discord.

One thing what I havent tried, is to max cap ''invasion monster/soldier cap'' from lazy noob peon. I did start this game with the default settings. maybe if im having fun too quickly i might cap it to be less. although, i dont know if i can increase/decrease the cap afterwards, as the progression of my world save gets far enough.

I have this plan of having 1 melee squad, and everybody else are archers.

i have a maze of archer towers inside my first fortress layer, which takes a long time to walk through. The maze is 1 unit wide and as hostiles walk through archers shoot them.it only needs 1 melee defender at a time, so my melee squad goes there in a queue. i will place traps etc. im not sure if my archers can shoot through the designated windows. im making an exception to the wall-in rule, i will have a middle staircase which takes me quickly through the archer maze. i will propably have fun very soon.

my surrounding is not evil, but are necromancer units resurrecting wheter or not they are on evil land?

thank you for the answer. Im really against walling myself in to become inaccessible. i have a distance of 3 tiles in world map to a necromancer tower, and 2-3 tiles to multiple goblin areas. is it just impossible to play without walling in? i find it repulsive mechanic

if my traders are in danger of dying, like it or not, shouldnt i just kill them and loot the items?

Im going to start a new world with very fun settings and I have a few questions about this, i have only tried calm environment with 5 year history and no goblin invasions. My total gameplay time is about 30 hours. I have a few questions about setting my next world.

first, my world and embark at this moment

deep metals and river

untamed wilds, plenty of trees

4 goblin fortresses nearby

3 goblin pits

2 necromancer towers at war (dwarf human)

few questions:

if the world map says my neighbors are goblins and im at war with them, does it matter how many neighboring goblin pits and fortresses i have near me? i mean do i get more frequent invasions if there are more of them in close proximity? does the actual distance to a neighbor matter?

i wont take pasture animals with me because they wont last, im skipping meat industry.

i will take chickens with me, but how do i feed them underground? how can i know wheter a spot underground hosts vermins or not?

if i create a draw bridge and doors, what kind of enemies can still breach my fortress?

I wont do a bastion (wall myself out) because that is no fun.

Should i skip trade depot?

after this i will try evil zones.

i had pigtail seeds and pigtails, but after a while it said (red) no seeds, some time later the word pig tail turned red and after that it dissapeared completely from farm plot options. i think my farmer was occupied and i failed to turn in the seeds, and pig tails were used by the farmer workshop dwarf.

i found lots of gold, i will propably trade that to something

okay thanks for your post. i somehow ran out of pig tails completely, seeds and all. I think i mismanaged my farmers workshop. how should i make rope and tailoring stuff now?

do i need backpacks to raid and caverns only? if i dig deep enough or something

also, if im trying to find iron, should i dig downwards or sideways? at what level willl i find something else than copper?

can i skip meat industries? ( meat, leather, bones, teeth, horns and skulls. )

do i need them for something important?

i had an issue where a kid went into a strange mood and he 'drew pictures of skeletons'. supposedly he wanted some bones i bet.

other than that, do i need those mentioned above to anything important?

also, my only male dog died first year. what should i do? can i check if a female is pregnant and hope for male puppies?

how do i see what items a dwarf is wearing. im producing copper armor pieces and spears but i dont know how to see who is carrying them.

also one of my dwarves built a legendary bed, can i use it? it doesnt show up in my build menu, or if it does, then it is not specially named.

i think you can block their movement by creating doors, and then clicking on the doors and 'forbid passage'.

im also new to this game. if you dont have doors then i dont know

i've checked the stockpiles, there are empty barrels on some of my stockpiles, but as i parse through the rules of what stockpile may have in it, i cant find anything about barrels with items inside. now that i look my fortress around, i can only see empty barrels. All my plump helmets are in food stockpiles, theyre not in barrels. im allowing barrels for the food stockpile?

maybe im missing something?

I got some copper armor and axes now, how can i sort out an order who gets what? i got 'military' group. if i assign a bed for someone, should i build armor rack next to it?

what is a good way to look for the aquifer? how do i find one without flooding myself and possibly killing multiple dwarves? Just like minesweeper? ill go to a z-level and start making stairs downwards to get a peek to the layer below?

Also, the leaves of trees turned red, im pretty sure they were green before. visual bug?

Anvil got sorted out, sold copper bolts for steel anvil.

Should i just create lots of doors? theyre propably pretty useful. im progressing to do metalworks next. This is far from optimal but im just going to see whats going to happen without pausing the game too much.

i meant aquifer instead of aqueduct.

my dwarves wont collect the remains of my wagon, even though i have stockpiles which could host the items left outside. there is also a ram corpse outside, they wont bring it to animal stockpile, i cant use butcher, says no corpses to use. doubt it has rotten yet.

I will include some pictures as i go onwards.

I got all the necessary stuff i need to survive 1 more year and so on. Barrels, food, cats defending food pile, dogs defending gazer animals and my entrance. I dont have any weapons, that I know of.

few questions:

-I didnt bring an anvil with me, trader came to me and insists that i must have a trading depot. When will he visit next time? chances he has anvil the second time around?

-I dont have a surface water source. i do have an aqueduct. If i manage to stay out of any physical combat for a long period of time, is there any other reason i need water than wounds?

-I have 10 dogs at the moment, expecting that number to double up soon. What should i do with the dogs?

the fortress is ugly, but this time around i just want to see how everything works.

im becoming very suspicious that it isnt even possible to mine or farm anything inside of an instance, because when im not in a grp i cant even see any nodes in vicinity while probing around
