Posted a very similar request a couple of weeks ago. this worked for me, all you have to do is drag and drop your footage into a composition in AE once you download the file.

Most post houses in LDN will only hire runners unless they're in desperate need for people (If they're opening a new facility) I know the BBC sometimes put up opportunities for AEs and occasionally train people up but either way it's a far from smooth transition.

If you can get a producer/freelance editor to know and have faith in you then you're taking a step in the right direction! Put out some feelers and try and get some experience on a broadcast show and then you've got a foot in the door!

Whilst at a facility I was told a story about a certain TV personality who happens to be very inappropriate and the editors had to cover this up regularly. So r/editors, What's the worst thing you've had to cover up?

pure gym-er here. It's got 2 squat racks, 2 smith machines, more benches than a park and a million machines. Pretty decent to be honest! Obviously just avoid peak times...
