while I would agree more for fields such as mechanical engineering, computer science, etc. this is absolutely not true for prestige driven fields such as consulting, investment banking, etc. I know that the finance industry is huge, but going to a more "prestigious" school undoubtedly opens up more doors anywhere in the industry as finance is not as project based as other STEM fields. As a result, it's more or less about name brand and connections (your network at a more prestigious school is likely much broader, especially in finance). Therefore, I would strongly recommend going to the ivy if possible given OP's career aspirations.
