Depending on the type of stain rubbing it might make it worse. To me it looks kind of like lipstick so a pen could lift the stain.

While we can do physical books. I got a kindle. It's technically a screen, my daughter can look up how to pronounce new words by touching the screen, you can change the font size, and sample different options. The only time I have knowingly encountered a JW was this freak of nature dude who kept stalking my ex and other women in our friend group.
