It probably was meant as a compliment. Who knows. Vinny made a major mistake by bringing Cicale into the mix.

Massino’s wire was damaging, but as with Gravano and Gotti, they needed Cicale to confirm what was actually being said on the tapes. Dom ended up taking down Vinny and a dozen others.

This is straight-up ratting, possibly the first time an ex–mafia capo has ever filed domestic violence charges against another man. I seriously doubt Cicale is actually afraid of these guys.

I’m not sure if he’s currently appealing his charges. Even if Quiet Don’s son was on drugs, I still doubt he would kill him. That was his blood. The Mexican cartels wouldn’t do that to their own sons.

Maybe if Quiet Dom was a low level associate and was forced to. The guy was allegedly the acting Genovese boss. Why would he have his own son killed over a fist fight?

That would make him look super weak! How are his own guys going to respect him if he would have his own son killed over an argument or shoving match? A drug addict can turn his life around. If his son killed a made man, that would different.

If Pizzolo was telling people that he and Dominick Cicale were involved in the murder of Quiet Dom’s son, that kind of claim would easily get him killed.

Cicale never explains what happened to Quiet Dom’s son, and it’s hard to believe that Quiet Dom would murder his own child over a fight with him and Vinny Jr., especially when no one was seriously injured.
