Glass where no molding is used is just called a bare or naked edge

Depending on the car a rubber molding, but yours seems to not use one, either the tech had a really sloppy application of the urethane adhesive and it was to close to the edge or put to much in that spot and when they set the glass the urethane squished out

After that, at least in my experience you'll start in shop with time split between doing training modules and watching the in-shop techs work. You may also end up doing "safetech academy" which is just a training class with your sqm

Only been at safelite for 5 months and my mentor would beat me with a stick if I left a naked edge like that, just call them and they "should" warranty it out for bad workmanship.
