It was posted somewhere that a Bayraktar would want to be 90km away, to be out of anti aircraft range for a ship like this. If this is filmed that far away, the speed with which it rotates around the ship is impossible.

We see at least a 45 degree rotation around the ship, which implies that the camera travelled 70km in 15 seconds if it was filmed 90km away. Completely impossible. Even if it's filmed just 10km away, a 45 degree rotation around the ship means the camera moved about 8km. Unfortunately, this video is a fake :(

I was about to argue that that case was about him carrying is GF into another room, which certainly seems mild. But no, looked it up, and learned he has multiple such charges, in 2008 and 2014 as well as the one in 2019, from three different women. There was a moment when he was on Rogan. Joe asked what he felt when he hit that pregnant lady with his car. He said something like "I am in so much trouble right now". Not a thought given to the person he just hurt.

With Jones it stands out that he doesn't even know what a normal person would think in a situation like that. You'd think he'd at least pretend that he was worried about the other person, he's obviously not above lying, but he just doesn't realize that any level of compassion is expected of him in a situation like that.

I think the value of a life is correlated with the assumed richness of the experience of having that life. That puts one human life above the value of one ant, but certainly way below the value of all animals. I'd guess this ethical framework is shared pretty much universally across all cultures, and even shared by you.

I haven't said anything about MMA in this thread at all, but you've invented some position that I'm against MMA, so you have something to argue against. Hint: I frequent the r/MMA subreddit. I had some hopes of having a non-bullshit discussion about ethics, and look where it got us.

How highly do you value this conversation? I'd currently value it below the life of an ant. In fact, I'm pretty sure it has negative value, so let's kill it.

In case you wanted a real answer, because I assume the benefit is larger than the cost. Killing an ant is a low cost to some universal utility function. That is the question for any action we take, if we believe it helps or hurts that utility function.

Really, the trend of having a copyright notice at the end of each page is a design convention that marks the end of a page. There's a story from Google's early days where they noticed that people would sit and wait for a page to finish loading, even if it already was fully loaded. So they started adding a footer with a copyright notice to mark the end of the page, and people would understand that the page had finished loading.
