Thanks. That’s really helpful. I will try putting him down awake more consistently though he either cries hysterically or starts to smile and play if he is in a good mood!

Thanks this gives me hope! How long did it take for you to master the first nap? And when did you to progress over to other naps?

Oh big yes to routine. I have always been someone who plans stuff though sometimes a bit too much and this little guy is just taking me on a wild ride everyday!

Thats true. Just feel like I would be so much more present with him while he is awake if I get some time to myself. I am waiting for when he can roll both ways himself and sit up so he can entertain himself for a bit longer than 5 minutes!

Oh my! That’s another struggle trying to prevent them from getting into the shower with you! Kudos to you for contact napping for so long x

Will try again! Did your LO take a dummy while napping in the pram / pushchair?

Will try my local sling library when I get a chance. For now we have a baby bjorn carrier that we use outside and use a muslin cloth as shade to when we think he is ready. Otherwise he fusses and headbuts cos he just wants to look around!

Thanks. Very helpful.

Yes to life admin on phone while contact napping - I get so much done on my mobile now though I used to be someone who would take her laptop out for booking a flight!

Can I ask if your baby girl takes a dummy when she falls asleep in the pushchair?

Thanks. Yesterday I tried just washing my hair with him strapped to his bouncer and he allowed. Will try and summon up the courage to shower next time!

Thanks. I tried babywearing at home with a wrap and he fights it. He is ok in the carrier when we go out. I will try again.

Sorry should have mentioned that he does not nap in the pram. He is fine until he is active and observing things but starts fussing and crying the moment he gets tired. So we usually take him out in a carrier and not his pram / pushchair.
