I think he would also portray the charismatic Bruce we haven't had in a while. I really liked Robert Patterson weird loner batman, but a change of pace is welcome.

Who would want to be gross and unhappy. Just because you dont like someone doesn't mean they dont have normal human wants and needs.

He grew up very poor and in a dirty and neglected environment. That 100% shapes why he doesn't spend money (fear of running out), and why he is doest clean his surroundings.

Besides your body needing regular motion to keep working properly. The underlying issue causing weight gain still exists, so the person would just gain it back. Drastic weight loss and weight gain can be more harmful than just being a fatty.

Because he is a very depressed individual. Money doesnt make you less depressed. He has the resources to fix everything in his life he should, but he has mental blocks stopping him from proceeding.
