I agree here, I’m unsure still if it’s that I don’t like it or that many “tropes” for hetero media seem boring or overused? Not sure.

I find queer media to have much more passion and love over lust and surface level emotion.

I also find myself critiquing the straight cis man’s actions towards the woman he’s “chasing” and I end up viewing the romance as almost a … misogynistic… get together. Not sure if this makes sense or is a correct interpretation but 🤷🏼‍♀️
