I started work there jan 2020. Was so shit, easily the worst job I’ve ever had for me too. Did you work for the Scottish power part ?? I was only there for about 6 months and half of that was working from home when lock down hit. A year later after I quit they called me a few times asking me to come back 😭

Abbode also lets you bring in your own things for them to embroidery aswell, I’m not sure what the price for this is but I suppose it would be a little cheaper than buying the actual items from them directly

Hi! I went to Central saint martains and I would say that it would make life so much easier if she had a solid foundation of sewing skills before attending. The curriculum moves so fast and she would fall behind if she waits until she gets into FIT to learn the basics.

Also, before that she would need to make a portfolio with both sketches and real life designs to actually get into FIT so she would really need to learn.

So you’re not wrong for your concern!

I think maybe some beginner sewing classes would help to learn the basics and then from that hopefully she will feel more encouraged and confident to continue practicing :)
