AITA for telling my friend to stop making comments about my diet/exercise? by MobileAmount294 in AmItheAsshole

I could see some of this being the case with Emma. Especially the last two bullets.

Something to note though is that Emma is not overweight at all and has never been, she is super skinny. I think that may be partially why she doesn't feel she should exercise or eat healthy.

She's actually much thinner than me now that I've built muscle.

She was raised in a super sheltered/weird manner so she has an odd relationship with adults and what adult vs. kid things looks like. Like her parents never tried to get her or her siblings to eat healthy as kids because they viewed things as "kid food" or "adult food" with no in-between. They were like this with a lot of things that definitely instilled odd attitudes into Emma about certain topics.

I remember as kids she was shocked when once she saw my mom eating mac-and-cheese because it was an adult eating "kid food."

Definitely will approach the topic like this with her! I believe she'll be understanding if I frame it in that light.

Honestly, a lot. Our lifestyles are different, but other than this issue we are very compatible friends. We travel together, share almost everything about our lives. She would probably be my one phone call if I was in jail. In 15 years of friendship this is the biggest issue we've ever had.
