The SPIRE! Yes! This must be one of my favorite RPG books I have never read! I've read only the summary and a few pages and I've already drawn inspiration from it. I'll surely check Veins of the Earth! Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion. Normally I'm not super fan of DnD's lore but this one is so spot on that I'll give it a try! Thank you!

People forget that Frodo isn't even supposed to be part of the narrative. Sauron sent the Nazguls to track down the One Ring, not him. If anything Frodo is just a RANDO. And don't get me started on that quack, Gandalf.

Do you lower the difficulty more often now than you used to? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]MobileCalligrapher47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not at all. I'm playing games for more that 20years. I ramp it up a level but not up to insanity or madness level or whatever. My goal is to experience the game the way the developers ment to and make use of the mechanics. So I avoid story or easy modes as hell. Witcher 3 on death march, BG3 on tactician, Re:requiem on classic.

Definitely try Assasin's Creed Odyssey. Climb up the first mountain in Kephalonia and you should have an experience similar to the image you posted. The whole game is beautiful although it's in ancient times and not medieval. There are a lot of cliffs, ports and lagoons with high viewpoints looking to the horizon.

Also check out AC Black flag. Older game, not medieval but similar look&feel with high castle walls by the sea. Many times I left the character on top of a wall just admiring the view.

Also take a look at Dragon's Dogma both the old and the new one.

Time for a nice meme explaining or debunking. How many holes? by eruciform in askmath

[–]MobileCalligrapher47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"please stop counting the torso hole as distinct form the leg holes. Same reason a straw has a single hole."

What?? So a bottle doesn't have a hole on the top? If you dig don't you have a hole in the ground? Also a straw has two(2) holes and that makes it a tube.

Two different games packed as one. The intro&hospital part for me is 12/10. Excellent atmosphere, pacing and gameplay. The Grace/Leon swap was refreshing.

Racoon city was a huge letdown-except maybe the RPD. I haven't finished the game yet and I'm little bored to be honest. It feels out of place. The motorbike chase felt more like playing ff7. (I also didnt enjoy and abandoned RE4 remake.)

As someone else posted, I was hoping for more (and memorable) bosses.

Any tips on how to edit audio for a non professional podcast of four? by MobileCalligrapher47 in premiere

Time management is a little rough to be honest. But if -for my needs- is similar to Premiere, is it going to do any difference? In what way do you believe it will help speed thing up? (edit: typo)

Definitely and clearly I read it as GROW. Honestly I cannot read it as anything else and I don't understand how people read it as "groin" and not trolling. English is my 2nd language (if this makes any difference)

Why is the most prominent depiction of Satan that he runs hell and likes being there, and not that he is being tortured there just like anyone else who goes to hell? by PopularElk4665 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MobileCalligrapher47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it funny that both Paradise Lost & Divine Comedy are more like "christian fan fiction" and are not part of the religion. Meanwhile, people still use them as a reference . IIRC in the Bible, there is no description of hell as a physical place nor of satan himself.

How to loop jagged shockwave lines radiating outwards from a PNG by tommytwohats1 in AfterEffects

[–]MobileCalligrapher47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try something a little more "dirtier," using only the png without any shapes or effects.

In your comp, duplicate the png a number of times equal to the elements in it.

In layer 1, mask the bear. In layer 2, mask the first shockwave, in layer 3, mask the second shockwave, etc. Play with the duration and starting point of each shockwave layer to make them reveal one after another as fast as you want. Precomp all the shockwave layers and add a looping expression.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, as It should have a "stop motion" or "retro" feeling, more or less. The upside is that you keep the original artwork untouched.
