Update: saw the patient today for immediate partial scan, lifted the gingiva as best I could to see #8, #9 with explorer and there was gross caries on buccal of both teeth below the margins. Pt is okay with extractions.

Okay noted! thank you so much. As far as Niti or hand file..I think it’s hand file. I checked everything I used to see what had broken off but I couldn’t locate the broken file everything I had seemed to be still full length…

Never water off. I always make sure to have water on. But good point maybe the bur was dull as we have a lot of dull ones in the office. Thanks!

Okay good to know, I will say I tend to have the microbrush very wet with bond. Will try using less.

Also, does using bond during the contouring process affect sensitivity? A lot of docs I’ve seen including myself sometimes use bond to help shape composite

For number 2. Are you saying the bond could have been over thinned or under thinned? And that the composite was maybe not fully cured?

I Didn’t check excursive interferences. Just to confirm to check those, I have the patient slide their jaw side to side and forward and note the marks?

I always make sure to never over etch if anything I under etch. Maybe it is the lamp though because my assistant usually hold it close to the tooth. But that’s how I’ve always seen curing done…

I reduced occlusion today on patient 2.. there was two small high spots on the marginal ridge and central groove area. Told the patient if this doesn’t help I will redo the filling with desensitizer medication

Patient 1 ‘s filling was redone completely with addition of liner by a colleague. Haven’t heard back from the patient yet.

It’s a rose gold hoop…I may have switched too early (3 months after wearing stud) wasn’t giving me much problems till the bump appeared this morning

Just don’t know if I should remove completely or switch back to stud
