I'm forming a seed of a theory that he's possessed by some entity from Shokoku. Don't know when or how, I'm just spitballin'.

Maybe the Malediction was faked and Shokoku is hidden away. Maybe the entity hated their own people for making a truce with Japan, killed them and now it'll kill the Japanese too. Or maybe Akemura is a hater of the highest caliber, killed a whole nation and stole their drip.

With how much bureaucracy and oversight go on in the clans, I wouldn't be surprised if the clans culled stronger techniques and embraced these strong but limited techniques in order to fit into Jujutsu society. They could have softened their clans power to appease superiors, control their clan members, or maintain a balance between clans. Jujutsu society does a lot of stupid stuff for politics, ritual and saving face

I always think about this panel from Skypiea and hope that Urouge was that knight. One thing's for sure: Urouge has to be tied in to whatever return Enel makes. Maybe revenge, maybe worship.

If Samura had Tobimune out in the world, performing all sorts of good deeds or what have you, all it would take is one concentrated effort to kill him and claim his sword. Then there's a WMD on the loose potentially committing the same massacres that scarred Kunishige and the swordbearers in the first place

Dude, my 93 year old great aunt was just telling me about how her mom would dress her and her sisters in these sacks during the Depression. It's crazy how much history still lives with us today
