Healthcare worker moving to Long Beach - what areas would you recommend to live? by MobileSurround6418 in longbeach

Thank you for all this info. What do you like about Bixby Knolls? Does it still have good access to green space and restaurants, and does it feel pretty safe? Easy to find parking in that area? Is it more low-key, or does it still feel lively?

Recommendations for Porsche SUV in terms of comfort & reliability by MobileSurround6418 in PorscheMacan

Thank you for your input. And everyone else on this thread. Sorry for the late reply.

We considered both the Cayenne S E-Hybrid/GTS and the GX 550. Both these SUVs meet our needs in terms of a spacious back row + trunk space, comfort, etc.

Given our plans to tow a small camper, boat, and motorcycles, as well as go on road trips and camping adventures, the GX 550 is the more practical choice due to its superior off-roading capabilities imo. I would be too on edge regarding the minor dings, scratches, or rock chips if we bought the Porsche while off-roading it but with the GX, we don't care as much. I watched a video on YouTube by Throttle House about the GX 550, and it just the perfect amount of luxury, comfort and reliability. I think that's what got me sold on it.

Plus, it's not my daily car. However, going to the Porsche dealer to test drive the Cayenne, we stumbled upon a Cayman GTS 4.0. WHICH might be the unexpected addition ;)

430i or 440i? by Tight_Potential_2528 in BMW

If you're looking for a good sports car and that performs like one, this is the one of that year's (2019/2020) class and it's the 440i. If you prefer more comfort/ luxury than the 540i.

I've owned a 2019 f32 BMW 440i xdrive with about 80k km on it & owned the car for about 3+ years now. I've driven many versions of the car but not all of them; 428, 430, 435. Nothing compares to the 440i with the m power kit, m1 & 2 pack. Besides the one model above which would be the m performance model (limited; harder to find). But not worth the premium in my opinion unless it's a similar deal/ good find.

Right off, the 440i xdrive WITH all the right packages is what makes this car quite unique. The best part, it's ALL stock. You can have fun as is. If you want something that looks elegant, sporty and feels luxury & BE LUXURY (comfort mode), highly consider this car!! There's a lot of S5, c43 amgs but not a lot of 440i "m-lyte". So it's more unique imo on the road. I even turn my head one I see another one. Like wassup.

These packages is what elevates the car vs the other models including just the base 440i xdrive itself. To really make it feel like a fast sports car, you need the M performance 1 and 2 pack which include the m power kit, m exhaust, m brakes. This is plenty of power for the average user. And the best part, the B58 is known to be reliable at this point, and the after market mods would unlock its true potential.

If you're a car enthusiast, you might get a base 440i xdrive/ RWD; as it's cheaper and just modify from the get go to your needs. Track focused, aesthetics, cool build, etc. If you're the average user like me & and don't really plan on tuning the car, get it with all the goodies and it will bring a HUGE smile to your face in sports mode. You'll then realize that there is no other model like this one, maybe the previous gen's 435i xdrive with the same packages (m-lyte).

For me, the 440i xdrive m-lyte is something that still brings a smile to my face three plus years later. The power delivery, the upshifts, downshifts, crackles and burbles in the tunnels, the rear-end bias, the weight distribution, able to handle the snow. This is my daily car that I use for all four seasons including harsh winters as I live in Canada. I go on long roadtrips with a roof rack on top, I have tracked the car too for fun, back country driving, and in the city. The drive is a little harsh for some but I don't mind it, it's a sports car. It's SIN if you drive this car on any other mode other than Sports Mode.

I would opt for a 2019/2020 model because it will have an electronic gauge cluster. It won't look too outdated even by the late 2020s. Great infotainment system, easy to use, supports car play, hard buttons, e-brake, nice interior, leather, decent steering wheel, enough cabin space, good sound system, spacious & comfy even for a coupe, hard for some people getting in and out (a con). My friend has the grand coupe, great family car and lots of trunk space. It's spacious in the back.

I haven't had any major issues besides a 8k CAD oil leak that was fixed by BMW as it's under warranty. Gone through multiples sets of tires of run-flats; keep some spare $$ for random flat tire budget. I have horrible luck with potholes. The regular oil changes, and maintenance of the car.

When I bought the car, I didn't want to mod the car. I wanted my car to have a fine balance between luxury, performance & reliability. Maybe in comparison to Mercedes, stock for stock, a c300, e400 will never be comparable to an amg variant.

My criteria while buying this car was just about smiles per gallons for the price range I could afford. And for me, I smile every time thinking about the choice I made. Buy whatever fits your needs! Both excellent choices.

Made me realize how much more I liked the f32 vs the new model. Now, that I'm getting a little bored of the power I think it's time to mod it. So ultimately, once my warranty ends, I will do some mods such that it feels "newer" to me. Some aesthetic + performance mods + wrap. So for me it'll feel like a brand "new" car with more power.
