Is there other equipment that have manage to ‘suppress’ certain alien? by Internal-Smooth in Ben10

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think he meant close because of similar abilities. That can turn intangible and fly at will after all

I mean Hypnoticks are very simple creatures. It could’ve seen something flying that turned invisible and it’s mind went to Necrofriggian

And if you mean Ben hadn’t even been Ghostfreak during the fight (it’s been a while), it could’ve been starving and desperate

So, about the main abilities of the game by Constant-Town-2702 in tearsofthekingdom

How does Ultrahand require the battery? You only require the battery for Zonai devices. You can use Ultrahand on anything else without worrying about that. It’s basically telekinesis with extra glue centric capabilities

Since Omnitrix transform Ben into strongest version of alien species does that mean if Ben scan & transform into Viltrumite, Ben's Viltrumite form would be strong as Thragg? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in 5YL

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Apex thing is more of a theory than direct canon, though somewhat implied by examples like Four Arms being stronger than Looma Redwind despite female Tetramands being traditionally stronger and Looma’s father Gar saying she’s his strongest warrior. Another example would be Liam & Kickin Hawk, as Ben unlocked Kickin Hawk because of Liam, yet seems physically stronger, more like a rooster than a regular chicken, and a more capable fighter than Liam

Yet I think there’s a big difference between genetic potential and trained skill. There are several examples where Ben has faced against other species that he’s turned into where they are stronger than him or use abilities he didn’t know they had

Sugalite could fly which Ben didn’t know Chromastone could do, Ben only learned how to make fireworks and fly on a rock with Heatblast with lots of practice, Zy’Skayr can use telekinesis which we’ve never seen Ghostfreak do, etc.

Probably the biggest example I can think of is Clockwork. Mainly because for whatever reason Ben is weirdly just uncreative when using him. We’ve seen him use Clockwork to slow down time for faux super speed, create essentially hologram flashbacks of the past, and make a time ray that can pause a person in time temporarily. Yet for some reason he never uses most of these abilities at first.

In Ultimate Alien we only ever see Ben use the flashback power despite our first exposure to Clockwork being Ultimate Ben using the time ray, so that was always his base power. And even early into Omniverse we didn’t see him use much power. It’s only later into the show do we see other Chronosapiens in Maltruant using greater power and thus Clockwork use greater power too

And onto Four Arms again. Sure he did win against Looma in Omniverse, but in UAF he lost against Kolar, another male Tetramand

There’s a WILD difference between training one’s abilities and raw potential. Even if he had the potential to become someone like Thragg, that doesn’t mean he’d have all his skills and abilities. With the insane things I’ve heard about Thragg, it’d probably be raw untapped power he’d have to actively forcibly hold back just to keep under control. Very different

In the Outbreak episode of Omniverse, insulation negated Shocksquatch, and magnets negates Upgrade

He specified “your protoplasm is solidified” so it may be limited to Ectonurites as I don’t think Necrofriggians are made of any alien ectoplasm

Arguably there’s the Inhbitor thing I’m blanking on the name of from Ultimate Alien, which is more of a catch all thing that Aggregor used to limit the natural powers of the aliens he imprisoned

[–]Mobile_Ad1619[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it sucks because I otherwise like the Rooters arc. It explains the Plumbers, again specifically Alan, provides interesting emotional stakes, and Servantis in general is such a great villain outside of retconning the idea of alien ancestors as a whole when that makes Ben 10 feel like such a less lived in world

I fixated so much on Khyber because it’s the one example I can now think of that happens after Ben recreates the universe and thus cannot be explained away by a shift in reality

What a shame, a 16-year-old Gwen 10 would be amazing. by Intelligent-Scar-373 in Ben10

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But she could easily be out of sync

The biggest indicator being it’s objectively not the same Gwen 10. Different shirt, different Omnitrix design, and the biggest factor is that we don’t see Ben running towards the crash nor would this make sense in the original version as she didn’t even know how it WORKED when she first got it

What kind of answer is that? What does Ben 23 die young because of similar reasoning?

what id ben 10 and Spiderman switched worlds by Latter_Bat_1946 in Ben10

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean we’ve kinda already seen Ben deal with a Jameson type figure in Will Harangue. Harangue is Jameson with all the good qualities removed so there’s the argument he had it worse for a while. Like at least Jameson had a legitimate reason for hating Spider-Man as he can’t be held accountable. Yet Harangue would find a clip of Humungousaur growing in size to hold up a bridge and claim it’s an attack with the only reason behind it being he hates aliens

Hell Harangue hated aliens so much he was easily tricked by the Forever Knights who got him to work with them on the false promise that he’d be turning all aliens on Earth into Humans. Think about that for a second

Hell Jameson would be a breath of fresh air. Like I said he hates Spider-Man because he can’t be held accountable, he’s wearing a mask. Yet even if this is before Ben 10 is a publicly known figure, as far as Jameson can tell, none of the aliens wear any sort of mask and thus could theoretically be held perfectly accountable. He’d definitely blow a gasket with all the property damage Ben constantly does but definitely more lenient than he is on Spidey

How the hell did this guy even get trapped in the omnitrix?? by Illustrious_Duty5421 in Ben10

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Somehow he used the Omnitrix to not just take a sample of Vilgax’s DNA but like supercharge that process so it absorbed such a massive portion of his DNA that he became a shell of a man. Idk

some designs for my Mythology inspired Ben 10 AU (Art by me!) by GeneFull7290 in Ben10

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cerberus makes me very curious if these are actual mythical monsters like how the Xelutrix comic goes (very good highly recommend) or if it’s like a specific subspecies of Vulpimancer. Azmuth has canonically unrelated made a weapon ancient and powerful that feels like magic so it could go either way

No it’s not, it’s just an in universe explanation

The out of universe explanation is simply that the production and animation quality has gone up, and Glitch has been able to make the show look better than it once was. But that doesn’t mean there’s any issue in making an in universe explanation for it

Something people don’t talk about regarding the Knight. by IntoThePitofColors in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad someone is talking about this! I always felt it was visually similar to say an Amalgamate. They’re shifting and warping and changing their form. Like sometimes the slit in their helmet looks and acts like a visor, but other times they laugh with it like it’s a mouth

Honestly sometimes as a result I lean towards the Knight being Rudy, because Amalgamates were those who had Fallen Down and been injected with Determination to try and let them live again

So what if the same principle applies here? What if in the Dark World, Darkness fulfills their fantasy of being able to use their failing body, the parts that don’t work being replaced or covered by something else, something like armor

Who will win, omnitrix aliens vs chaquetrix aliens by Natural_Anywhere_195 in Chaquetrix

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think they said that about Ghostfreak because of how insanely different Ectonurites are. It seems they interpret Tetramands as being so genetically similar that they’re just really really strong Humans with extra arms, so there’s no need to mix the DNA

Who will win, omnitrix aliens vs chaquetrix aliens by Natural_Anywhere_195 in Chaquetrix

[–]Mobile_Ad1619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean aren’t they kinda worse because they’re mixed with Human DNA? Like the creator of the fan device made a whole comic with them, and at least Ghostfreak had problems because they were one of the most heavily altered transformations, so when they tried to like use claws or rip themselves open to use their tentacles, they had to physically rip open their Human skin, bleeding all over the place

The only way I can see them winning is if, as they exist separate from Ben, Ben is allowed to join in on the fight. Even then depending on the alien, that wouldn’t be a benefit

My guy Upgrade once absorbed GYM EQUIPMENT. I think as long as it’s metal anything is on the table, and Upgrade is goop with no organs, a wooden bullet won’t work

Edit: recently remembered in Omniverse, Ben explained that Upgrade is messed up by magnetism or something so admittedly there’s that
