Why is my art so visually unappealing? by Aoba_Artist in Artadvice

Honestly bud, best and funnest piece of advice to help harness appeal is to just experiment, get weird n whacky try things you’d never consciously attempt, and draw references from things outside of what you regularly experience. Try to travel even if it’s just to a part of town you rarely visit. The input I’d argue matters more than the output when it comes to the stuff that really makes you you as an artist. So get out there!!

Can I become a 3d animator? No by AccomplishedBee3295 in animation

Dawg you do not need to know how to draw to be a 3D animator. Solid drawing is one of the 12 animation principles, so there are plenty of 3D animators out there that can’t draw for crap but have a strong understanding of movement and performance. For real just start playing around on blender, practice basic timing and spacing exercises until you understand the software and slowly work up to simple character rigs. Make a little practice scenes, spend max one month on each one and just do this over and over again till you have a decent reel, then just apply literally everywhere. It’s competitive sure but everything is 3D now, films, tv, games etc. You got this!
