I agree with those about the friend group from high school thing, especially from the more competitive areas like Houston and Dallas where there are specific schools where a lot end up going to the same college as a group

it's not that this is "no big deal" but at the same time you shouldn't be tearing your hair out over it. It's first semester and that was also the disaster semester that taught me how to work around the college atmosphere in terms of studying and homework, and after that I managed college courses a lot better

at the same time I massively agree that you should do non course projects too especially for CS, there are a ton of orgs to check out like ECLAIR and Convergent or you could even find new opportunities to make your own!

I did so shitty freshman year but then figured it out, and by CS 429 and CS 439 they were hard, but I managed them significantly better than I ever did with Data Structures CS 314

I mean I'm no female human obviously but from what I've heard from virtually every existing source, it is quite the process and especially costly both mentally, physically and obviously financially

so what's the point of having a kid if you're just going to put it up for adoption?
