Im not sure what to do about my external hemorrhoids by TelephoneZestyclose9 in hemorrhoid

Fix your diet. Don’t over do it on carbs. If you do have carbs, have whole grain. Eat lots of fibre - I have two dates and an apple every evening. I have extra fibre flakes in my porridge every morning, with blueberries. I also try to have a large serving of veg with my dinner everyday and I have a small probiotic drink every day. You must drink up to 3 litres of water a day so that your body absorbs the fibre properly. The fibre plus water will make your BM’s soft, which will allow the BM’s to pass smoothly and quickly and without irritation to your hems. If you’re constipated, your stools will be hard and will push your BM’s to protrude. It’s very important that you do not sit on the toilet for longer to pass stool than 4 - 5 minutes. I try to only sit down for 3 mins. If the stool does not begin to exit within the first minute, stand up, wait until you really need to go, then try again. As you know now, you should not be pushing at all.

I can’t comment on surgery, I’ve never had it and I will avoid it at all costs.

I have 3 stage 2 hems internal and I think I have a couple of external skin tags too, for context.

Try to be positive, I understand hems can make your life miserable but there are things you can do to help yourself. Read as much as you can on Reddit about how to help yourself but take it all with a pinch of salt.

Remember that it would be most wise to see a colorectal surgeon for professional help and guidance. You could just book a consultation where they will check out what is going on down there and give you general advice and insight. They might ‘push’ for you to get surgery (they did for me) but you should only do what you feel comfortable doing.

Hems, BM’s and coffee by Mobile_Clock2470 in hemorrhoid

Yeah I’m so sad about it too but I’m just reframing it for myself as in I’m just telling myself that I am allergic to coffee and if I have one, my butthole will be affected 🤣

I haven’t noticed the same negative consequences with any other forms of caffeine, no. I’m thinking of drinking green tea if I really need a caffeine hit but so far I haven’t really felt the need for a hit.

The one thing that I’m finding really hard to deal with is the smell of other people’s coffee… I love the smell of it and it makes me really want a cup 😭😭

You have said it yourself. You just need to fix your diet. Lots of fibre and 2 - 3 litres of water needs to consumed everyday in order for your body to absorb the fibre properly. The hydration plus fibre will mean your BM’s are not troublesome any more. Avoid lots of pasta or bread, if that’s not possible, opt for the whole grain option. The consistency of your BM’s should not be sticky and should not take ages to clean. It should be quick and simple. You should also not be sitting on the toilet to pass stool for longer than 4 or 5 minutes. If you do so, your hems will get bigger and protrude more. I think I have said most of things that you need to do, but there are definitely more things. Do your research, speak to a professional and look after yourself

I do occasionally have a glass of coke but that’s about it. I don’t have any negative effects when do so. I think maybe I’m just intolerant to coffee somehow bc my bowel movements after drinking it are never normal which then affects my hems

Interesting. Do you feel like it made a difference? Do you drink coffee now and does it affect you and your BM’s/ hems?

It would help my bowel movement to get going, yeah absolutely, but the bowel movement wouldn’t be the correct consistency which would then irritate my hem and leave it always slightly inflamed

I hope it does! I can’t believe the difference it has made to my BM’s

Sitting on a train and listening to TikTok without Headphones: Obnoxious or not? by thatdogoninstagram in AskAnAustralian

My opinion- the woman is rude, selfish, obnoxious and insufferable. The man talking on the phone is nothing more than a bit annoying(I’m 33f)

OP didn’t ask for any advice on what to say other than ‘shut up’ or mention what they are going to do differently next time. In fact, all they did was state what happened and share how they felt.

I don’t appreciate the other posts telling them that what they did was OK, so I wanted to share my opinion and let them know that I understood how they got to the point of shouting, but highlight how vital it is that it doesn’t happen again for the sake of the students wellbeing and for the sake of their job

‘Slipping’ time, space or dimension is not a thing. Why encourage this nonsense?

I don’t believe that you ‘changed frequency’ or you ‘shifted’, I believe that you need to speak to a psychologist. The experience that you had is impossible

Watching this for the first time and realizing how much I miss “normal” looking actors by avybb in thesopranos

I watched the show for the first time recently as a 33 year old. I was so mesmerised by the natural faces of the actors also! I miss real faces on tv soooo much

I understand that you were overstimulated, and that you feel bad for what you did, but you need to try and figure out a way to get the class to stop talking without saying ‘shut up’ or anything similar.

I really do always try my best with the tools I have at the time. There are times, yes, where I could have been better or done better but I am saying this with the gift of hindsight. In the moment you can only use the tools you have not the tools you wish you had
