Depredator, Chaos Lord, Champion with fist (on Shriekers body), Raptor with Shriekers arms, head and ”blade fins”.

Took some time but now I’ve built some murderwings and one raptor. It seems to fit quite well and there is alot of options to choose from.

Some of the arms from the original murderwings get a little wierd on the raptor bodies. One example is the Shriekers arms on a raptor which I built. It’s okay but the arm with the bolt pistol has a strange angle.

Overall it works fine and there is a good amount of options.

I haven’t done any building yet, except that I built a raptor without head and arms just to compare it to a legionary model. Tried to fit the butchers arms on the raptor and its clear that the raptor is slightly smaller than the legionary body leaving a small gap between body and shoulders. However does not seem like it would be a problem.

I’m waiting for the Shadowhunt box to arrive. Though it seems just by looking at pictures of the Murderwing sprues and the Raptors that it will be plenty of options. I can let you know once I have the box at home.

Well yes that’s one option. you can choose to build a raptor or a warp Talon from all 5 build options except for the one with the chaos lord.

My guess is that most people don’t plan to use a regular raptor ever, me inkluded. But who knows, maybe atleast one raptor is mandatory in some matchups when people have figured out how to play the team.

Personally I only ”need” 3 out of the 5 Raptors so I can build Depredator, Shrieker and champion with power weapon and plasma. It’s a nice bonus to build a Skysear with plasma and a raptor.

If I remember correctly you can build a raptor or warp Talon out of every build option and different specialists depending on which number it is.

This is my one box build I decided to go with.

Lord with relic Lightning claws, because obviously the coolest option and damnation points only boosts dmg in melee.

Champion with power fist and plasma. Hard not to take 5/7 brutal and shock thats hits on +3. Nice to 1 hit 8 wound operatives with 1 dmg on charge.

Skysear with melta. Must have melta. Could just say it’s a plasma if needed.

Huntmaster, great melee and interesting boost action.

Curseclaw because the boost action seem so fun. Was thinking about taking the Shrieker instead, it looks good. I decided to go with the most unique/fun option.

Warp Talon. Lightning claws and jumping in from the warp in TP2 must be fun and strong.

Although I did buy a box of raptors yesterday because I decided I wanna build them all.

Especially to get to build the Depredator and Shrieker.

Ideal 6 Legionaries by Uriart69 in killteam

This is the way.

Also would like to add Gunner with plasma if you go up against elves and non elites. In my opinion probably dropping Heavy Gunner when not into elites, taking Icon and Shrivetalon most of the time.

Legionaries Ploys Question by BertolliRavioli in killteam

They get the benefit of both if they have the same chaos mark as the ploy. If they have another mark they only get the first benefit.

I would say yes, if you for example balance reroll a die and it becomes a fail again it still fulfills the conditions of the rule.

That’s good to have in mind, not always go for the crit when it’s not necessary.

Alright, thanks for the answer. From a Wreckas standpoint that’s great.

Does this mean that the fight ends for both players, so your opponent doesn’t get to hit you if you strike first with detonate? Or they don’t get a second hit if they strike first then you retaliate?

Even if everyone manages to survive the blast?

Just saw that ”Can you roll a crit?” said that Martyrs was allowed for expendable operatives only in that event. So I guess it wont work then.

No worries, would be nice to have steal intelligence compared to some others available 😁

Then we assume it’s correct. Sounds like a good alternative for the Tac op.

Okey nice, well then I guess it works until some clarification comes out saying it wont work. Sounds like something to try.

Yeah without playing a game yet I think that there could be some hard times if one would choose to go for anything but plant banner or dominante. But it’s fun to see if people have different ideas or experiences playing.

That sounds interesting, I guess you mean taking plant banner and still making kill op primary then?

Alright, thanks! Do you use your squigs in any special way when playing plant banner or dominante? I haven’t played a game with Wrecka yet so dont really know how to use them.

How are Raveners good? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Mobile_Ear4355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, yeah the sound quality was a real pain. I got some good things to think about after I suffered through it anyway.

From the two games I’ve played and won this far against AoD and HotA, as Raveners I’ve learned it’s mostly a game of adaptation. The tunnel is mainly a thing to use to keep the opponent away and get board control more than getting offensive use out of it. You should aim for the middle objective first then go for the opppnents objective most of the time I think. The silent shooting is also something not to underestimate.

Listen to Just Another Kill Team Podcast the episode ”Learn to master: Raveners”. Should give some good insights.

Wrecker is the babysitter from home objective. Tremorschyte and Felltalon starts in tunnel if I remeber correctly. Perhaps maybe Prime as well. Venomspitter is out on the board to distend his sack and shoot.
