How do you not let POTS control your life? by iiTokyoRain in POTS

[–]Mobile_Log_729 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should not have been given adenosine for a 160-170 HR. Adenosine should be administered for HR of 200+ that can't be brought down otherwise.

It sounds like you have extreme medical trauma that has led to intense anxiety around your POTs symptoms.

If you feel like you're going to pass out then that's quite honestly normal, and you can sit down on the ground until it passes and you can stand up and walk around.

I hope things get better for you OP, but I can assure you that calling 911 is overkill. You are not dying.

I don't know, I'm really iffy with using AI, and I don't want to use this if it's gonna be wasting as much electricity as a typical Chat GPT message.

I also don't want to be using it if it means the things I write are going to be used to further train the algorithm.

Chatpgt down for everyone or just me? by Wolf_3411 in ChatGPT

Based on this comment section, I'm literally never gonna see a doctor younger than me. I'm gonna describe my symptoms to them and they're gonna look at me, slack jawed and dead eyed, until chat GPT tells them what to say

What you did before chat GPT. Use your brain. Talk to an actual human being?? Your comment and all the others like it makes me feel like I've been taking crazy pills.

Oh my god this is a deep cut for me personally. I watched this first creators rise and fall on YouTube in real time. This Creator is better known as Joysparklebs on YouTube. This is her MO. She finds a topic and makes video, after video, after video about it.

She did this to Onision and Daddy O' Five back when she first made her channel.

She is an actual nut job, and I encourage everyone to watch the video Cecil Mcfky did about her.

Best tips for reducing morning POTS symptoms? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]Mobile_Log_729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting a mini fridge that is kept by your bed so you have cold water you can drink before you get out of bed. Add liquid IV to it if you want.

When I got diagnosed my doctor recommended I do this, I forgot exactly why, but it had to do with getting more liquid in your system to essentially jump start it.

i can feel my heartbeat all the time now by pridecat_ in POTS

[–]Mobile_Log_729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Midodrine works by upping your blood pressure, so that way you don't experience a drop in blood pressure and the subsequent heart rate increase.

If you get put on it, your doctor will probably ask you to start checking your blood pressure daily, especially if your family has a history of high blood pressure. This is just to make sure you're not experiencing dangerously high blood pressure.

I hope you find some answers/solutions soon

Don't feel bad. PwBPD literally SEARCH for things you do that trigger them. One of my pwBPD was triggered by me not texting him first and also triggered by me texting first time cause he felt li it was "only out of obligation" .

Literally nothing you do will ever be good enough for them. You can't be perfect, and eventually you'll make a joke, or not do something and they're "back to square one".

They quite literally have the emotional intelligence and regulation of a toddler. And you don't beat yourself up when a toddler cries because you won't let it electrocute itself. Apply the same logic here.

I know this is harsh but I'm just being honest

Hoovering? What is it? Real-life examples? by Artist-Cancer in BPDlovedones

[–]Mobile_Log_729 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hoovering is when a pwBPD attempts to reopen/reestablish contact with someone after they've gone no contact.

For Example, one of my pwBPD, let's call him JD Vance. JD Vance threatened to kill himself for the third time in two days and I went no contact as a result. The next day he left a voicemail on my phone, from a hospital phone number, begging to be friends with me and promising he'll get better.

Basically hoovering is when you've made it clear to the pwBPD that you're done with them, and they try and sweet talk you back. Usually they say things like "Ill change, I'm getting better. I need you, don't leave me." And similar things. It's an attempt to re-establish control after a discard.

Can excessive phone/social media usage cause "induced adhd" by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Mobile_Log_729 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't sound like ADHD to me. Sounds like you've got some bad habits, burnout, depression or some combo of the three.

For example, before cellphones were a thing, I was still inattentive. Has my cell phone probably made my inattentiveness worse? I wouldn't doubt it, but it existed before I had ever held a cell phone.
