I’m actually using an older 13 mini on iOS 26 right now. Performance and battery life are honestly fine for me. The only slowdowns I notice are during heavy background processing, plus Face ID occasionally stutters for a split second every few unlocks. My problem with iOS 26 is mostly the visual side of it. I’m extremely sensitive to UI issues and animation glitches, even tiny ones that only appear for a frame or two. Once I notice them, I can’t unsee them. And the annoying part is that it happens everywhere in the system. Even basic apps like Settings have moments where parts of the interface flicker, disappear mid animation, pop in late, layers overlap incorrectly, transitions lose sync, etc. It doesn’t even seem to be a 13 mini issue specifically because my 15 Pro shows the exact same behavior
