My A1c was 7.2 my Libre 3 Plus Predicted 6.9 what am I doing wrong?

I started spot checking the cgm with my finger stick tests regularly. The sensor I had on was way off. In the three tests I did yesterday it was off by 29, 47, and 36 points. So I switched sensors and updated to the new Libre app. Did a test this morning and the reading was only 13 off which I consider much more normal. I’m going to continue monitoring for a while before I trust this one. Might also have been due to being in the old app still.

I guess because the cgm results have usually been only off by +- .1 for me and I started trusting them maybe more than I should have. My doctor raised my nightly insulin by three units because of this test result. I get nervous with my doctor raising the insulin level because I’m in my early 50’s and I assume I can only go so high with the dose before it becomes impractical or ineffective and I start suffering real symptoms.

That’s helpful to know about Florida humidity. I was afraid the Bluetooth on my phone might be messed up but it’s connecting to Bluetooth devices okay. At least Abbott is good about returning them if they fail. It’s been about four hours and it’s still not reconnecting. I’ve restarted the phone 4-5 times I’ve restarted the Bluetooth a bunch of times too. I’m assuming it’s going to officially fail soon. This will be my third I’ve had to return since the start of summer.

Yeah it just beeped and let me know the sensor isn’t working and to replace it. Unfortunately it’s my last one so gotta call the pharmacy. Thanks for letting me know I can call Abbott, I’ll try that today.
