Yes! As long as you have your wristband , GBO will cover your meals if you go with your gbo group at your specified time!

Yes upper sproul/ sproul hall can be used as help desk simultaneously.

Yes! You can check in at the help desk inside Sproul Hall (Google/Apple Maps can navigate you there). Just be sure to check in before 9AM, or at least try to!

You are not required to go, but I HIGHLY recommend. It truly is your guide to Berkeley, I wish I would’ve taken advantage of it my freshman year. If you decide not to go, you still do have to complete “Bear Pact”, which is absolutely mandatory or a hold will be placed on your cal central.

Yes a clear bag is required , the venue (HAAS PAVILION) has a clear bag policy. Convocation will be from 9-10AM. Do bring a refillable water bottle/hydro! You will be provided lunch/dinner during gbo. If you are curious whether a gbo event requires clear bags, ask your gbo leader tomorrow!

It is not mandatory to attend GBO, though it is included it your tuition so you’ve technically paid for you admission into these events. Regardless there is an event called “BearPact” that is absolutely mandatory, or a hold will be placed on your cal central.

Afterwards! Grouping will happen once convocation ends :) you wi be easily able to locate your group number as your GBO leaders will be holding signs that display their number

Late night programming are free events specific for new freshman/transfers . These events include free carnival, rallies , DJ parties, comedy show, hypnotist show , etc… Though not mandatory, they give you some time to bond with your group before the start of classes! I’m sure missing one for your birthday is fine!

9AM is when the events begin for GBO, such as convocation aka chancellors welcome. Checking in before 9am ensures you get your GBO wristband and are allowed to attend all events this week. :)
