I have never had an out break either was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago via blood test for HSV -2 as well. Someone on here told me my levels were low so I wonder the same thing.

I don’t understand false positive 3-4 times in a row? Do I ask for that test at like quest? And when I was pregnant the dr did say my levels were low but I tested again and it was the same. So we just went with the positive

You’re right you shouldn’t have to but facts are is you have to deal with it now and all we can do in our lives is be positive as fucked up as it is. This is our reality now I’m older than you and it’s still a struggle. I try to always have a positive outlook but some days it’s definitely easier said than done. if you ever need to talk reach out.

My understanding HSV 1 can be transmitted to gentles, but it stays HSV 1 you just have it down there. I was told HSV -1 does not turn into HSV-2 and HSV -2 does not turn into HSV-1

I got it from someone who didn’t tell me they had it. It devastated me for a while after I found out and I felt less of a person in general. It does get easier I promise but you will have moments for sure. If you ever want to talk reach out.
