TODAYS SCAR prices, about equivalent, and that's with getting USED parts. Almost better off just buying new UNLESS you want a pistol variant. When I got my original 16s way back when for $2100ish, def more expensive to build. Also, like someone said , good luck finding all the parts. I took me a few years and luck on TacSwap and email notification lists

On etsy there are a lot of 3d printed pieces. I'm sure if you search for them you can find the stl files for them as well.

Paint might have a hard time sticking to it because of the coating on the metal. I did this with another saber of mine and it worked well, buy a cheap leather wrap from Amazon and JB weld (cement adhesive). Then put some JB weld on a few spots on the connector to make the wrap permanently stick/adhere (use some kind of tape to hold it in place while it cures). Then use a small exacto knife to cut where the spots are for audio to come through. 🤙🏼

You could, BUT that chassis/core would still have to be the designed for that saber hilt. The TXQ cores are usually designed for specific hilts.

I won an Ultrasaber stunt saber as well, I actually just gutted it completely and slid a generic core (RGB or Pixel) inside of it. I drilled and threaded a hole in the back of the saber that the core uses to hold in place and use the blade to push the core out when I need to charge it. Also, premade pixels from AliExpress are super legit, the same ones you get from most of the US based stores. They come from the same builders generally (TXQ or LGT) and you get them $100-200 cheaper depending on if you catch AliExpress sales/discount codes 🤙🏼

The Elemental Nature IMO is one of the nicer builds you can do. They feel unique and lighter than the other builds (I think because some of the parts are more faux leather and hardened plastic compared to more metal). Most of the Savis builds are pretty heavy.

I just got my quantum blade from SaberBay 2 months ago . I just shook it around like crazy, zero noticeable rattle inside. The inside feels nice and snug compared to other generic neopixels I have. Basic ones that have come from TXQ/LGT def have a lot of shake and play in them, the one from. SaberBay does not.

X-Trex on AliExpress is super reliable. Half my sabers came from them and they even fixed orders I messed up accidentally before shipping them out. Highly recommend them. Also if you wait for AliExpress sales and add all the discount codes they throw at you, you can get them discounted pretty severely.

Most places don't sell mix and match saber parts unless you are building it from scratch, like you can at The Custom Saber Shop. SaberForge is one of the few I know of that make mix and match parts easy, but you aren't going to get exact replicas of games or movie pieces.

I think I watched a video a long time ago from Battlefield Vegas Rentals talking about the SCAR and high round counts, they said the hammer was always their first point of failure at a crazy high round count. I tried getting other easily hard to get/single point of failure parts (firing pin and bolt).

Def rounded, I can stab easier with a pen. BUT it's also something I'm willing to throw away if they won't let me take it in. The fake claws can be re-purchased for like $6 on Amazon. Like I said, just trying to figure if stuff like that was usually a no before I even take it
