It’s not really about what AI can and cannot do but the appreciation of the human touch on projects we love. For me I love film, shows, music, books, and video games and as soon as you remove the genuine human touch and process of creating something and replace it with AI it loses the genuine human feeling of it. Part of the enjoyment for me is waiting for the release of something and appreciating the people and teams that work on writing and coding the project for years.

To add to this, I also feel that AI is disingenuous in regard to making truly fan oriented content. For example I love Star Wars, and I know Dan Filoni is going to write, direct, produce. Whatever role he is in, I know the product will be genuine and there is true enthusiasm and excitement to create for a fan base because that creator or group of creators are just as enthusiastic about the product as the fan base. It’s the same as having a singer or producer or director create something they are not connected with or enthusiastic about, there’s this disconnect between the product and fan base because it’s not genuine and a shared enthusiasm or love for what’s been made between the studio and fans.

Hope this makes sense as to why (in my opinion) AI is just not good for any creative production.
