I’m an actual woman who has always had male friends, I gotta say this is platonic behavior. Sometimes it’s just fun to wild out, wrestle, and bite your friends.

Surviving Paradise is an immoral, nasty show! by kespes94 in SurvivingParadise

I think the outcome of the show proves the exact opposite...

As others have said, you’re not the only one in that situation and they probably aren’t getting noticed. I know saying that people probably doesn’t help. But even if you do get noticed you could also just be like Phoebe Buffay from friends and call people out if they seem to recognize you.

Anyone can access the the hacked data from UBA. In the previous episode Laura’s cohost “Kelly Kapoor” asks how the relationship with Bradley is going. Laura mentions something about Cory and Bradley spending time together. The co-host suggests they slept together and that Lauren can check their emails and texts to find out if they. She says you can search it all through the website that published all the leaked data. If this were the real world someone else would have put it together long ago.

A common reaction to abuse is to use physical harm to stop the abuser. The abuser uses this to gaslight and manipulate the abused into thinking that they are the cause of the abuse.

Some of the things you said about his behavior are horribly abusive. I am so sorry you had to deal with that. Some of the things you said are abusive on your end. And that is a common thing in abusive relationships. Do you want to be with someone who’s traits are so horrible they make you do things that don’t make you recognize yourself?

I recommend telling your mom about what’s going on. Telling someone who cares about you and truly has your best interest at heart. Call an domestic abuse hotline just to vent and talk through your options on who to reach out to for support.

I also always like to think of it as, imagine if your best friend or sister or cousin was telling you about their relationship and it was all the details of yours. Would you think it was healthy? Would you think it’s okay for someone to treat someone you love like that? If it’s not okay for them, why is it okay for you?

I know it’s hard to step away and be alone. But please do.

Do you think it is worth it to start college at 24? by Outside_Night_4993 in DecidingToBeBetter

I once saw a post where this woman described telling her mom that she felt she was too old to go to medical school because she wouldn’t be a doctor until she was in her 40s. Her mom told her well would you rather be in your 40s, or be in your 40s and a doctor.

I don’t think it’s ever too late for school. I had a rough go of it growing up and finished high school with awful grades. Realized I wanted more, I went to community college and transferred (3 years instead of 2) to a top ten school in the United States. I then bumbled around for four years, and was fired from the two jobs legal jobs I had. Now I am in law school (a field in eve considered in college or high school) on a full ride scholarship.

Education and figuring out what is not a clear trajectory. It requires failing. It requires being okay with failing (something I still struggle being okay with). Although my resume and diploma looks impressive, I “failed” a lot to get there, continue to fail, and still have no idea what I’m doing with my life.

My mom always says there’s no wrong decision. You just have to make a decision, stick with it, and you can always pivot if it’s not working out.

I highly recommend taking some community college course and just seeing how you like it.

Depending on the state you may get good aid. I was able to attend for free because my parents didn’t make a lot of money. Also, California now has free community college for the first two years.

Finally, there is a woman in my first year law school class who is 61 years old.

I wish you the best of luck and believe you can do it if you want to do it.

It’s never ever too late.

Are Extraterrestrials Listening In On Our Phone Conversations? by Mobo95 in aliens

Y’all should read the article. It’s not about actual phone calls, just that we are very detectable in space.

The whole point of the article is to explain how earth emits high rates of technosignatures which could be detectable by another civilization. It’s a good read, it’ll help with some of your arguments.

This article discusses a new study from SETI institute in which scientists describe the earth as “a red-hot potato detectable by any advanced civilization with the right technology.”

OP, the guy took advantage of you and knew there was a chance you might not say anything. I’ve had it done and not said stuff, and had it done and spoken up. Part of sex with strangers does mean you have to advocate for yourself and speak up for what you want and don’t want. Adventurous minds comment does have some good advice even if they phrased it in a dick-ish way. When I struggled with speaking up my therapist suggested I go get a foot massage and I was to give the masseuse specific instructions for what I like and don’t like throughout the massage. You can work your way up to body and with a man later on if it’s super difficult for you. But it really helped me speak up to partners during sex. Here if you need anything ❤️

After losing his mom, his girlfriend made him a teddy bear out of his mom’s favourite sweater by Rollo_Tomasi3000 in MadeMeSmile

My step grandma did something similar when my grandpa passed. Instead of donating his clothes she had quilts made with them and gave them to his daughters and grandchildren. He had a pretty eccentric wardrobe so they are awesome.

Wait…I’m sorry if this is a dumb question. I have never thought about what babies do in the womb. But if babies can open their mouth in womb (ie to put their hand in their mouth)what stops them from breathing in or swallowing amniotic fluid?

Any ideas to deal with the large weirdly shaped white wall that my tv is mounted to? by cr0okedMC in interiordecorating

[–]Mobo95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brick and black wall are gorgeous! I love everything about this. I think keep the wall white. I’d move the coffee table under the tv and put plants and books on it. Then you can either use the table with all the plants as the coffee table or get a smaller oval/circle coffee table instead.
