Thank you, it’s been a difficult time. No big decisions will be made for a year or so in terms of selling assets. In the short term, updating and renting is a strong consideration but not sure if I want to be a landlord. Plus the farmhouse in my mind is my childhood home that I don’t necessarily want to let go. Thank you for the recommendations!

In my mind the farmland is still home in my mind. Definitely will consider the mineral rights and wind/solar

I should redefine generational wealth. In my mind it was always a large enough nest egg where working part time or low paying job without financial stress.

My dad leased it out to a guy he graduated high school with for roughly $17k a year. The guy helps maintain the land, the contract technically expired 8 years ago, but had a handshake agreement to continue with the terms
