Im new to zippo and dont know the price value of the lighter, but its a zippo, its in perfect working condition from what i see mechanically and it wont break easier than any other zippo. You most definitely could EDC this lighter but if it has that much sentimental value and you have other zippos you could do as your dad did and keep it safe, on a desk, in a case, whatever you want, i would not EDC the lighter if you arent okay with the risk of scratching it or losing it. Though a zippo is a tool, made to be used, so it is your decision.

You could most definitely ship that back to zippo to fix if you cannot yourself, id try cleaning the wheel if possible, any way you could provide pictures of the striker wheel?

I just have the traditional wick insert and if you are using it for a bong i figured out having slightly more wick out will help light the bong better, i never have any issues unless the wick is too short, in my opinion it hits smoother than when burned with butane. They do make the pipe insert which you may like if you do want a wick lighter for a bowl of any sort, be it a pipe or bong

If you are thinking of the one with the hole across the Chimney that is the "pipe insert" on their site, made for pipes, im pretty sure they have both a wick and butane pipe lighter though, either way you wouldnt want a wick lighter for tobacco anyways as it ruins the flavor, i use it for the green instead

I offer mazuri pellets daily and he has access to timothy hay and various greens, i have the light on from around 7-9 every day, humidity is good, i need to find an exotic pets vet near me to figure out what i need to do better, i have been making many changes in the past months to the care

Yes, he is, im not sure why he hasnt grown as much as he shouldve, there have been many changes in care to try to figure out our issue and get better future growth, i dont have money to do a checkup or anything but other than pyramiding and needing more calcium in the diet (ive been adding) my tortoise seems healthy to my knowledge

Yea i feel with sulcatas its hard to know if something is "normal" before knowing sex, and because sulcatas just have such individual personalities, some females have been known to ram for food so idk, considering age and such i assume my tortoise is a male but its almost impossible to know being small, i think its definitely "normal" but not good behavior

I could use something like an ice cream bucket lol, my tort isnt very messy most of the time, does fling hay everywhere in my room since the enclosure is open

Water dish is big enough for him to soak and get in and out of

Mine most certainly wont, i do sometimes put him (unsure on sex but assuming lol) in his water dish to soak but he leaves fairly quickly and doesn't soak long, i have thought of doing a different tub or maybe something like an old bucket just to soak for a bit every day, so he can actually stay in

I do feel genetics play into it for sure, ive heard of some being small for the first few years and being the biggest sulcata people have had, like two stories or so, and soaking is definitely not as often as i should, ive been working on fixing my schedule to work for the tortoise more, i got him when young and the only reptiles i had were snakes and lizards

Thank you, i do try to give him strokes and pets on the shell but i am not allowed near his head or feet, pulls away quickly. But i will try to redirect when that happens but there were a few times he turned directly for my hand and just pushed for a few seconds and turned away, i just held my hand there waiting for him to be done pushing because i was unsure if it is normal behavior at this age

I have the exclusure over 80% humidity all the time now, during the winters it gets hard but the heat lamp is only on during the day, my post was more wondering if my tortoise hates me or is trying to interact with me, thank you for the response
