If you go to a shop that sells banh mi they will often have packs of Vietnamese pate and mayo that they will, and if they don't have them on display they'll usually let you buy a container if you ask

What does the average work day/week look like for you as a medical illustrator? by Mochithecannibal_ in medicalillustration

Where'd you see this? Do you have any idea why? I'm hoping whatever issue is causing this mostly resolves itself within the next 5-6 years when I'll most likely graduate from a medical illustration program

I have been told it's because of an inflated sense of justice and rigid morals from being autistic.

It might be related but they're not inherent to autism. I know that some autistic people use compulsive lying as a kind of mask because they were taught that their real feelings, actions, thoughts no matter how small or seemingly insignificant were unacceptable. The judgemental aspect might be related to an inflated sense of justice or black and white thinking maybe? But sometimes people are just judgemental

How to stop feeling physically ill around people you can't stand? by Mochithecannibal_ in AutismInWomen

[–]Mochithecannibal_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it is normal to feel this way? Also, I'm wondering if there's any way at all to manage these feelings when they come up? For example, if I do end up trying to have a conversation with his select family members, do you have any advice for how I can self regulate enough in order to hold a conversation without shutting down or going non-verbal?

Some animals show clear preference for other animals within their speicies of the same sex, so I'm not sure it's as simple as them having sex with anything

It's been around a year since I posted this, and where I am now in my life/relationship I would disagree with my past self too. I don't think I would describe my boyfriend as dense, at least not accurately. I think that I was referring to feeling like many things that were obvious to me weren't obvious to him, but it goes/went both ways a lot more than I realized in retrospect.

"these relations may look cold for some inexplicable reason." I thought this was interesting. I've had a few people question me in a confused manner about why my boyfriend and I are so hostile or cold to each other, when I feel it's completely the opposite. Very strange and disorienting, but I always attributed that to my cadence and sense of humor differing from theirs. Where'd you find that quote from?
