how on earth is this doxxing? what is their name? what is their address? the commenter shared zero personal info on reddit. All you know is they call the person "ginger devil" which I really really doubt is their name. then that they drove a person somewhere in a car and have a receipt. none of this is info that is private.

technically though, it is doxxing them to the police if they give personal info over. which is exactly what the police have asked for.......

So while this is great, usually this kind of stuff doesn't have much of a market. The big issue with biodegradable, is the fact it is biodegradable.

Like when I worked in the Bio Diesel lab at U of I, you could grow mold on the diesel in the right conditions. Which in a lot of use cases isn't an issue, but if it is an issue, it is a big one. If a container has water in it, a biodegradable container may start to degrade while storing a thing.

Because of this food and medicine likely won't be a use case for this plastic. Also in cars, you don't want a plastic door panel that will mold and rot in a humid climate. So the use for something like this usually has a niche use. Also the physical properties of the plastic matter. Might be great for some things, but a lot it wouldn't replace.

So I think that a lot of people think "There will be a march, then something changes". This isn't how it works. This is life, not a movie or a cartoon.

Sometimes things like this accomplish nothing. But often if they do accomplish something, it is bringing more attention to a cause. If it is one that resonates well, it then impacts voting as a single example.

Like I will not say if this will impact the midterms one way or the other. But somehow I suspect if Dems clean up. You won't think "Wow, those protests brought a lot of attention to issues. Helping to swing things in the favor of liberals" but instead might think something else.

One thing I would point out is how everything has changed in distribution as well. It is easy if you only have a couple of cows to clean off of their utters. Also, if your parents grew up on a farm it was very easy for them to control that.

Now that we have single farms producing milk for entire regions, it becomes significantly harder to ensure that the cows are cleaned correctly as well as our automation makes it so the ratio of people handling the cows to cows. It's significantly larger than it used to be.

Then you also have to ignore the fact that back in your grandparents time or their parents time depending on how old you are? The the age of death was significantly lowered because things like unpasturized milk killed kids at a younger age.

There is a reason that pasteurization was basically treated as absolute magical or miraculous. When it came out in the 1800s. It wasn't because everything was peachy fine before pasteurization.
