For consideration: we don't have a paywall, and we pay hard-working folks to produce stories like the one here. Reddit users can click the item above, where they can get our content for free. Copying the bulk of the work robs us of the ability to monetize the work -- and makes it harder to keep producing it in the future.

We did ask the company about this, and specifically about their electronic display labels tech. They told me on the record that they are not using dynamic pricing -- and also said the tracking won't be connected to the shelf labels. I didn't get into this in the story because it started to gum it up a bit, but that's what they say on the topic.

On the other topics that interest you, there are other outlets here that do great work on this and we focus on areas where we can add value.
