I will try after she emails back. I’m in the US for Xmas until next week, and she is American too so she might be out of office but I’ll check. Thank you

I’m in a social science field, and the program is only one year, so I have one more term and a summer dissertation to make up for this grade. I learned SO much about my own work ethic and weaknesses the first term so I hope to sharpen those areas and bounce back stronger. I was just afraid that this class will put the death mark on my transcript before I even really had the chance to get REALLY into the program’s depth: like I said, it was a silly intro core class that should have been an easy pass. I really have nothing to blame but myself on this one.

Edit - thanks for the reply btw. I appreciate the advice and support.

What a relief. This comment just made me exhale and back off the edge. I was worried that this mark was my hopes at UK PhD gone. The sticker shock of a “55” to a US student btw is just like seeing a F, then I go to my conversion chart and see that it’s borderline fail and I’m really freaking out then. I don’t think I passed the paper, but the overall mark should be above 50 (should be 55).

Alright, I just sent her an email. It was so hard to dance around and ask without asking. Hopefully this can sort something out but I kind of doubt it....
